Letters From Oakmont | The Sinking City walkthrough The Sinking City guide, walkthrough
Last update: 03 July 2019
After completing the first main case - Frosty Welcome - in The Sinking City, get out of your hotel room and talk to the owner on the ground floor (you won't miss this part).
After this conversation, you will get a bunch of side cases related to the letters left at the hotel by guests from Oakmont (Letters From Oakmont). In each of the letters, you will find tips on the next location and where to start the investigation.
Tip: try to choose a tentative location on the map for all the tasks immediately after receiving them. Then, you can choose the shortest path from a task to a task, or complete them while you are doing other activities.

Forlorn Woman
Head to the building at the corner of Fitz O'Callahan Street and Oldchurch Road in Salvation Harbor. Go up the stairs - the letter lies on the table in the bedroom.
Lone Child
Head to Coverside, to the building on the corner of St. Elmo Lane and Kingsport Street. The building must be reached by boat - it is located on a sunken street.
You shouldn't encounter any monsters here. Head to the upper floor and use the Mind's Eye to find the passage behind the brick wall. The letter lies in the room on the floor, near the toys.
Mirrors, Mirrors!
Advent district, the intersection of Purity Road and Oak Street. This is the south-west edge of the district. You need to use a boat.
There are several monsters in the building. The letter is on the ground floor, in the barricaded room (destroy the boards with a melee weapon).
Disgusting Exaltation
Head to the southern part of Oldgrove, on Warwick Street. The building is located between Seaside and Hillside Street - this is the second estate from the south, on the right.
The paper is on the desk on the upper floor. There are several monsters in the building, especially in the basement.
Call of the Ocean
In the central part of Shells district, find E. Brown Street, at the place where it intersects with St. Michael's Road. The building doesn't have any monsters.
Head to the upper floor and use the Mind's Eye to examine the shell on the table - the letter is under it.
Static in Ears
Go to Reed Heights and head down Bullock Street to Healog Street. The monsters are on the upper floor, however, the letter is on the ground floor. More precisely, on the table near the basement.
Voices From the Pipes
Go to Reed Heights, go to the intersection of Eibon, Ward, and Baker. The "H" symbol is difficult to see on the white door of the second-to-last building on Baker Street (west side).
Inside, go to the upper floor and move to the last room - the letter is on the dressing table. Monsters can try to stop you while you are leaving the building.
From Behind!
In the western part of Advent, find Murdock Avenue and move towards Oak Street. The building is very close to the pier.
The letter is on the second floor, to the left of the entrance. It will lie on the table next to the lighted lamp. Be careful: when you try to get out of the building, you will be attacked from above and from below on the staircase (a person with a shotgun will also attack you from above).
Terrible Fetus
Go to Washington Street in Reed Heights. Go past Eibon Street and head towards Oak Street. You won't find any monsters here. The letter is on the body covered in sheet - you will find it on the top floor of the building.
Innsmouther''s Notes
In Grimhaven Bay, go down Whisper Street towards Hubert Avenue. The destination building is located in an Infested Area, namely, at the intersection of streets - this is one of the warehouses.
To find the letter, you need to go down to the cellars. After entering the next room, use the Mind's Eye on the right wall near a corner. You'll find a hidden passageway.
Lullaby Crossroad
The building related to the mission is in Coverside, on the corner of Tanner Street and Old Church Road, on Beacon Street. "Men's finest clothing" sign is above that building.
Go upstairs, the letter is on the desk in the corner of the room.
