The chapter starts in the same room where you have participated the banquet. Your objective is to find the room with the Medusa that was mentioned in the message from mother. You can speak with cardinal Giuseppe or you can go right immediately.

How to solve the puzzle with the statues?

To solve this puzzle, you have to place the statues in the right order. After interacting with any of them you can adjust the direction you want them to face. The statues must be placed in the following order:

  1. The soldier with the Lantern - select Toward the hero holding the Shield option.
  2. The soldier with the Shield - select Toward the hero holding the Sword option.
  3. The soldier with the Sword - select Toward the Medusa option.
  4. The Medusa - select Toward the hero holding the Shield option.

This unlocks a secret passage.

There, you will meet Emily Hillsborrow:

Answer her frankly.

Dodge the question with humor.

Answer with a question.

After this short dialog you can start searching the room. Approach each of the items and examine them closely. The only way to proceed with the plot is to speak with Emily. The conversation is about the documents:

Assume a theft.

Assume a falsification.

Assume there are several Mortimers.

Assume Mortimer is immortal.

Lastly, you can Join her in the bed or refuse (No thanks option). Regardless of your choice you will watch a short cut-scene. You have completed the first episode of The Council.

Follow Elizabeth

By choosing this option you enter Elizabeths mysterious room - Chapter 4 Episode 1 The Mad Ones - Guide - Episode 1 - The Mad Ones - The Council Game Guide

By choosing this option you enter Elizabeth's mysterious room. During this conversation the woman will offer you alcohol. Refusing to do so will make Elizabeth to expel you from her room - the next day the woman will be killed and you will be charged with her murder. You will see a short scene of the arrest, after which the episode will end.

In turn, your consent to drink alcohol will lead to the following dialogues and choices:

Is she possessed?

Is she stark raving mad?

Yes, I believe her.

No, keep logical!

At the end of the conversation you have to decide what advice you want to give to Elizabeth - Advise her to escape from the Island or Advise her to stay here. ). The proposal to stay on the island will make Elizabeth die. Regardless of your choice you will watch a short cut-scene. You have completed the first episode of The Council.
