Set up the alkaloid from a chemical laboratory and the caterpillars and perform the experiment with the deadly plants | The Kew Gardens Drama SH: Crimes and Punishments Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Approach the Analysis table and select: "Deadly plant" experiment. First, test the reaction of each plant to different stimuli: Liquid with alkaloid, Caterpillars and stabbing with a Pin.
Notice that Carlina inebriare and Dionea carnivorus close when in contact with alkaloid, and Florem diabolica opens instead. The first one (from the left) shoots a spike after being stabbed with a pin, the second one covers itself with its leaves and the third one shoots a cloud of gas (as long as its leaves are opened). The second plant (in the middle), steals caterpillars from its neighbours. The first one reacts to this by shooting spikes and the third one - a cloud of gas (unless its leaves are closed).
To provoke the third plant to a stronger reaction, you need to swap the first one (Carlina inebriare) with the second one (Dionea Carnivorus).
First, pour some alkaloid on Florem diabolica to make it open and put a caterpillar on Carlina Inebriare. When the first one steals the caterpillar, the second one will shoot spikes, hitting the third one, which will shoot toxic gas.
