Colossal Titan | Boss in Rage 2 Rage 2 Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 23 May 2019
This page in our guide to Rage 2 contains the strategy for defeating the final boss of the game - Colossal Titan controlled by General Cross. This battle takes place at the end of the final story mission - Project Dagger. Read our description to learn the boss's attacks, ways of avoiding them, and how to defeat the Colossal Titan.
You encounter the Titan shortly after eliminating Cyber Crusher. You reach the corridor presented in the picture after using one of the lifts. Collect ammo and health infusions from the cabinets on the walls. You will need them to defeat the final boss.
Once you enter the large room, a cutscene will launch. You have to defeat Colossal Titan that is controlled by General Cross.
Titan can be weakened by shooting in his weak points - these will change from time to time during the battle. The boss hits the ground with his fists, causing shock waves. Jump over them. Grav-Jump will help you in this duel. It may be used to stay in the air a bit. Also, avoid "fireballs" by running on the sides if necessary.
Aim at the blue cylinders located at the hands of the boss. Destroy four such objects. Use any firearm you like to damage them.
The boss will retreat and you have to deal with his guards for the first time. Large groups of normal opponents will appear to the left and right of Titan.
To destroy standard pack of enemies you should use a shotgun, rocket launcher, Shatter or Slam. Just rely on your overdrive. It's a long battle, and as a result, you can charge the Overdrive several times.
Once Titan gets close to the "arena" again, focus on finding new cylinders, which this time are located around the neck of the boss.
In addition to avoiding fists, fireballs and shock waves, you also have to be careful with laser attacks performed by Titan. Use the Dash and jump back shortly before the boss starts firing the laser.
The destruction of subsequent cylinders will lead to another retreat of the boss. You have to attack the boss vanguards and this time some of them will be much stronger enemies.
Be careful with two soldiers in heavy armor. Rely on better weapons and strong skills such as Shatter or Slam. It is worth attacking elite enemies in turn, as they are strong and appear at opposite ends of the arena. In addition, if you leave one of them intact for some time, he will have time to restore his shield.
After the elimination of enemies for the last time you resume your attack on the boss. Attack the weak spot on the forehead of Titan. Don't forget, however, to avoid as many boss attacks in as possible, so run around the arena a lot and jump up to get pass the shock waves.
After you have defeated Titan, a cutscene will launch with execution of General Cross (with the General himself you don't fight at all).
