Germany DLC in Pure Farming 2018 Pure Farming 2018 Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 27 March 2018
Germany is the first third-party (paid!) DLC for Pure Farming 2018. It introduces a new region available, just like any other foreign country, from the Logistics Centre or via the tablet.
The location is small. It has one field, livestock consisting of small animals, cows and sheep (introduced here) and the option to grow rapeseed. Note, however, that it is less profitable to grow cows in this area because of the lack of a manure purchasing point; the only option to profit from it is to sell it through the tablet at a loss. A nice addition to the DLC is the new soundtrack on the radio.
Rapeseed
Rapeseed cultivation is the same as that of any other cereal, requiring ploughing, cultivation, sowing, spraying and fertilization. The only difference being that you do not receive straw after the rapeseed has been harvested. Germany is currently the only location where you can grow rapeseed.
?
The harvest takes place when you see the typical darker straw color in the flowering field instead of fresh yellow. The profitability of the harvest is average. The available field in Germany, can provide you with just over 11 tons of product under ideal conditions (which is more than 4.5 tons per hectare). This is therefore a lower figure than the yield of the basic cereals, but the market value is generally slightly higher, resulting in very similar earnings.
Note - rapeseed bags are not among the grain pallets. You have to drive further behind a shelter near the house; on its southern side you will find a rapeseed pallet.
Sheep
Sheep are a new species of livestock available in Germany. Their only product is wool. Like other larger animals, you can feed them with synthetic feed purchased in sacks or with natural feed obtained by yourself.
You can keep up to 35 sheep in your enclosure. Such amount uses approx. 18% of the feed. Of course, after buying lambs you must wait 3 days for them grow up and start producing wool. The amount of wool produced per day varies between 6-18% of storage capacity. The maximum storage capacity is 80 sacks of wool, worth EUR 32,000. The sheep are therefore a profitable investment, even if you feed them with synthetic feed. They do not require high amounts of investment or care.
The sheep's product, wool, is placed on pallets on the other side of the road. You can collect them on your trailer and bring them for purchase in the western part of the map. The Wielton PRC-2B/W 10t trailer is a great option to begin with, as it can accommodate 3 full wool pallets (75% of your warehouse storage capacity).
Like cows, you can feed sheep with mixed feed. This increases wool production and profitability - you don't have to spend money on synthetic feed.
