MultiVersus: Shaggy - how to play?
On this page of the guide to MultiVersus you will read about how to win games thanks to Shaggy, having the class of a bruiser, learning about his best perks. He is a character from the Scooby Doo universe.
In Multiversus, Shaggy is of Bruiser class. His most unique ability is the one that reinforces his next special. On this page of the guide, you can learn how to utilize him best when fighting other players or AI-controlled opponents.
General tips
Despite the fact that Shaggy is easy to master, consider using these tips:
- While holding neutral special, Shaggy charges up his rage . However, during the charge, he is vulnerable to attacks, so do it in a place that is difficult to reach for others, e.g. in air outside the arena. When you succeed, a Scooby Snack will be equipped by Shaggy, which can be eaten to restore health (watch out, enemy can also pick it up).
- By pulling out a sandwich with ground down special, and then using the same sequence, you can throw it at your opponents. If it reaches the allies, it will heal them.
- Rage gives you armor with further special attacks . Attacks after a charge deal more damage, have better range and place Weaken status on opponents. It should be mentioned that Rage effect will also be placed on ally.
- Ground down attack can break armor. Moreover, using the same combination again will make Shaggy attack again. Hitting an enemy with the attack will slow him down .
- A ground side special is Shaggy's best move . After a short charge, he flies ahead with his leg stretched out. Once it strucks the opponent, it deals a lot of damage and knocks him back considerably. However, don't rely on the same move all the time as it is easily avoidable and punished by experienced players.
Signature Perks
Shaggy has access to 2 Signature Perks. The first is the Hangry Man . If you have a sandwich equipped (it must be in your hand), you will charge your rage much faster when using a ground neutral special. The sandwich will be then consumed by Shaggy. .
The second signature perk is One Last Zoinks . When the counter under Shaggy's portrait is 100 or higher, you will automatically go berserk, gaining an upgrade for your next special attack.
Hangry Man, thanks to the sandwich, reduces the charge duration to 1 second. Without it, the action takes about 1.5 seconds. In case of One Last Zoinks, the action will be automated once your damage counter is 100. Each of the unique bonuses only affects the charge, it depends on you what you use more often.
Recommended build
This build is so universal that you can use both unique perk alternately:
- Lumpy Space Punch - an offensive perk, thanks to which your team deals 5% more damage with aerial melee attacks. When an ally chooses this bonus, the bonus will be 10%.
- Slippery Customer - a defensive bonus thanks to which your team gains 10% longer dodge invulnerability window. When an ally chooses this bonus, this bonus will increase to 15%.
- Triple Jump - a utility perk. After hitting an enemy in the air, you'll get an extra jump. If an ally has chosen the same perk, you'll be able to perform limitless jumps.
How to win as Shaggy?
It's a good idea to head to a safe place from the very beginning and start charging your rage . The opponents will probably focus on you first, so as to not allow you to unlock the improved versions of specials. As you will be far away from each other, it is a good idea to jump behind the platform a bit and use the neutral special.
Do not recharge in places such as those shown in the screenshot. Your opponent can then very easily throw you out of the arena and get a point, even if you didn't received any damage yet. However, this is an interesting and good way to provoke your opponent to attack Shaggy . If you're ready to take the risk and get the enemy to attack, cancel the rage charge and throw the enemy out of the arena first.
The special side, i.e. the kick, is your very good offensive move that is worth using. It has a long range, deals considerable damage and has serious knockback. It is important not to overuse it . If you're enraged, the move will work even better.
If the enemies prefer ground combat, fight with air down special. Not only will you receive armor , but after landing, you will also create a large explosion that knockbacks enemies and deals a lot of damage.
