Finn is the protagonist of the Adventure Time universe. In MultiVersus, he is assigned the assassin class, which means that Finn is much faster and deals more damage than other characters. On this page, you will learn more about how to be better at using this character in battles with AI or other players.

General tips

1 - MultiVersus: Finn - how to play? - Assassins - MultiVersus Guide
  1. The more coins Finn has, the higher his backpack damage. Coins drop when you attack enemies, so you must pick them up.
  2. You can use coins in different ways. For example, by increasing the strength of the damage dealt or by purchasing buffs for yourself and your companion. You can also throw them to teleport to them.
  3. Without any coins, Finn will throw an apple core from his backpack, which deals little damage, although it can interrupt enemy attacks.
  4. Finn does not charge attacks like other characters, i.e. by holding down a specific key/button. He has to move to charge the attack. You have to do that with the special neutral attack, High Five.
  5. By performing a special attack to the side called Get Skronked!, you not only make a short lunge forward, attacking enemies, but also destroy all projectiles in your path. Since Finn must be very close to the opponent, this attack will be one of the key moves.
  6. One of his better attacks, Backpack attack!, deals enemies a lot of damage and then get launched into the air. It is performed with the upper special attack. This move has a long range and very good hitboxes. Also, the more coins you have, the higher the damage. However, it should not be abused - a good player will wait for the moment when the attack animation ends and punish you.
  7. Sweat Deals, which is the bottom special attack on the ground, is not really an attack - you buy buffs for yourself and your companions. This move has to be fast, because your opponents will rarely give you enough time to browse the store. Remember that the first buff on the left is for movement speed, the one in the middle is a shield against missiles, and on the right you have his friend GameBoy, who deals massive damage and causes high knockback. Treat this move as a finisher, especially since it costs the most coins.

Recommended build

The build for Finn is all about enhancing his best moves and mechanics - MultiVersus: Finn - how to play? - Assassins - MultiVersus Guide

The build for Finn is all about enhancing his best moves and mechanics. Choosing his signature perk doesn't really matter, as both of them are quite good and useful. In our opinion, the best choice is the Goint Out of Business perk, which gives a discount on the power-ups during the game by up to 200 coins. This happens when an ally drops off the map or Finn deals 100 damage.

  1. Wildcat Brawler - an offensive perk, thanks to which your team deals 5% more damage with melee attacks on the ground. When an ally chooses this perk, the bonus will increase to 10%.
  2. Up, Up, and A-Slay - an offensive perk that allows your team to deal 5% more damage with attacks that launch opponents upward. The backpack attack buff is very useful, especially when it hits multiple times. When an ally chooses this perk, you will deal 10% more damage.
  3. Speed Force Assist - a useful perk that increases basic movement speed of the team by 4%. As Finn charges his attacks by walking, the increased speed will be quite helpful. If the ally takes this perk, you will gain 8% movement speed.
