On this page of our guide you'll find some tips you could find useful when starting off your adventure. We've prepared our hints and tips for new players who are just starting off their adventure with Lost Judgment.

Tailing

While tailing, always stay as far away as possible from your target - Lost Judgment: Beginners guide - Basics - Lost Judgment game guide

While tailing, always stay as far away as possible from your target. If you're spotted, the protagonist will try to divert attention when you press triangle/Y. The use of this skill is unfortunately limited. If you run out of uses, you won't be able to fiddle with your phone or tie your shoelaces anymore.

Tailing segments feature several checkpoints. If you run out of uses for the ability of diverting attention and you end up getting exposed, the game will push you back to the latest checkpoint, refreshing your ability in the process.

The people you tail will often stand in place or suddenly change the direction they're going. To successfully complete the tailing missions, you need to carefully follow your target and hide behind various objects.

Exploring the city

Spend some time looking around the city - Lost Judgment: Beginners guide - Basics - Lost Judgment game guide

Spend some time looking around the city. You can find lots of items lying on the ground, or on the roofs of buildings. These items will definitely come in handy when crafting items, or even equipment, in the later stages of the game. You can also sell unneeded things at the pawn shop.

In-between missions, it's worthwhile to check the stores - Lost Judgment: Beginners guide - Basics - Lost Judgment game guide

In-between missions, it's worthwhile to check the stores. Other than health-restoring items, you can also buy cat food, cigarettes and much more.

Remember to visit nearby restaurants. Eating meals doesn't just restore your health. Every restaurant offers special dishes with unique effects. These snacks and drinks can boost your rate of obtaining SP or let you pick up better items off the street.

Money and SP

Money and SP, which are points needed to buy new skills, are acquired after reaching each checkpoint when progressing with the game's story - Lost Judgment: Beginners guide - Basics - Lost Judgment game guide

Money and SP, which are points needed to buy new skills, are acquired after reaching each checkpoint when progressing with the game's story.

You can earn a lot of extra cash and SP by doing side cases, smaller missions and minigames. Street fights also reward you with money and SP. Therefore, head out into the city and explore everything Yokohama and Tokyo have to offer.

Fighting styles

Yagami has 3 fighting styles - Lost Judgment: Beginners guide - Basics - Lost Judgment game guide

Yagami has 3 fighting styles:

  1. Crane Style,
  2. Tiger Style,
  3. Snake Style.

Each style works better against different kinds of enemies and is enabled automatically once combat starts. You can see the active style symbol in the upper-right corner of the screen.

You can change your fighting style at any moment by pressing down on the D-pad. Your EX Boost charge level will remain the same.
