Wishstones are consumable items that can strengthen your character in various ways, but obtaining and renewing them is a bit complicated. Where to find the Cube?
You will obtain this item after talking to an NPC named Giangio. He is located not far from the statue of a one-winged angel, close to the bridge leading to St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel in the Path of Misery. Turn right from the angel, and then go down the stairs.
Giangio will stand next to the statue of a headless angel. Talk to him to start his quest and receive the Cube and Recovery Wishstone.
How to use Wishstones?
You can modify the Cube by talking to Giangio. Initially, you will only possess the Recovery Wishstone. Hover your cursor or analog stick over this type of stone and equip it by placing it in the Cube. Lastly, assign this item to your belt so you can quickly use it.
How to renew Wishstones?
Wishstones do not replenish upon death or after resting at a Stargazer (unless you have multiple of a certain type). This mechanic will only become possible after defeating the Eldest of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood boss. Leaving his arena and going further ahead, you will meet Giangio again near the Hotel Krat. There you will also see for the first time a tree that will produce Gold Coin Fruit.
They are needed to purchase a stock of Wishstones from Giangio. Moreover, if you speak with him, you will get access to other types.
How to get Gold Coin Fruit?
When you see the tree that gives Gold Coin Fruits for the first time, simply interact with it to collect them. You must remember that you can collect them after a certain amount of time passes (1 Gold Coin Fruit every 10 minutes). A maximum of 10 Gold Coin Fruits can be picked from a tree at one time.
What are Gold Coin Fruits used for?
Below is a list explaining what Gold Coin Fruits can be used for:
- Purchasing Wishstones - you will usually have to spend 3 Gold Coin Fruits to obtain a specific type of Wishstone.
- Trading with NPCs - some NPCs are very eager to obtain this precious item. You can give it to someone to obtain other items or complete a quest.
- For respeccing statistics - after receiving the key to the Saintess of Mercy Statue, you will be able to reassign your character's stats there. It will also become possible to reset the Legion Arm or character upgrades by using quartz.
- Selling to merchants - if you are in need of Ergo, you can sell a Gold Coin Fruit for 100 Ergo to any merchant.
