Each boss in Lies of P can cause a lot of problems. Among the more difficult ones are King of Puppets and Romeo, King of Puppets, especially at this stage of the game. This main boss's arena is located on the stage, near the Estella Opera House Entrance. In this guide, we discuss how to defeat both the King and Romeo, as well as provide their exact locations.

Where to find the King of Puppets?

After unlocking the main passage and other shortcuts at the Estella Opera House Entrance Stargazer, keep going straight until you notice a flaming chandelier swinging from side to side. Run across the plank leading to the other side and enter the stage of the Estella Opera House.

How to fight King of Puppets' first phase?

Before starting the fight, it is worth equipping the Flamberge Legion Arm - it works quite well against the King of Puppets, especially since you will have many opportunities to use it. Defense parts will also work perfectly, as they will greatly reduce physical damage.

After entering the arena, we recommend moving from the place you are standing after the battle begins. Although there is very little space, the boss will often use one attack that is easy to block perfectly, and the stairs can protect you from some attacks if he is standing on higher ground.

The move in question is a full spin where the boss raises his arm and then hits your character. This attack is clearly telegraphed and easy to block. Remember that he can follow up this attack with the same move or he can jump back. When you manage to avoid or block the attack, it is worth going into the offensive. Thanks to this, it is much easier to sense when to block his strike, as most likely (depending on the weapon type) you will have to start blocking when your attack animation ends.

The boss can also attack twice with his hands. If the King of Puppets does not spin and instead makes a sweeping attack, we recommend that you dodge at the right moment or, if you have a good timing, block it.

From time to time, the King of Puppets may also dig his hands into the ground and jump to the side to get into a better position. Remember that this move is also considered an attack. If you are close to his hands, execute a perfect block when he drives them into the ground to charge the Groggy bar.

If the boss's health starts to glow white, use a charged heavy attack to stun him. When he falls to the ground, instead of immediately doing a fatal attack, attack him up to three times from the side first and then approach the red field and use a quick attack. It will take a long time for the King of Puppets to recover from this state, so use the Flamberge Legion Arm to set him on fire.

How to fight King of Puppets' second phase?

When the boss's health drops to about 60%, he will stand still, cover his eyes with his hands and start crying. He then goes into a rage and starts a series of quick attacks. Quickly move away from him (his attacks have a small range) and use Flamberge to deal him damage.

The boss will often stick his hands into the ground and start charging his attack - this takes him a moment. When this happens, quickly move away from him to a distance of 3 dodges. Otherwise you will be thrown into the air and take damage.

From now on, his attacks will increase in range, and he will also attack twice. Every time the boss starts his offensive move, you will have to block his attacks twice very quickly to avoid taking damage.

If the boss starts spinning around quickly while standing on two legs, run up to him. This attack has a very long range and you can avoid it if you stand very close to the King.

The boss can also start firing blue scattered projectiles, which explode after a while and deal a lot of damage. You can block them. Usually the King of Puppets will want to push you into them, so when you land on the projectile, quickly press block or dodge buttons.

King of Puppets also gains access to two fury attacks. The first attack is about hitting you with both hands and then lying on the ground. If the first attack hit you, you don't have to worry about the second one. If you block correctly, expect a second horizontal punch when the boss is on the ground. The second variant is a very delayed strike where he extends his arms.

When you are away from the boss, he may start an onslaught, during which he extends his arms and makes wind appear on them. If you notice that this animation is starting, get closer to the boss as quickly as possible - you will avoid the attack and will be able to deal damage to him. After the fourth attack, he will jump away from you.

In summary, it is important to block the opponent's attacks, even twice in a row, when the second phase begins. This way, you will quickly charge his Groggy bar and be able to attack him freely for a few seconds.

Also remember not to use too many pulse cells, as they will be much more useful in the fight against Romeo.

How to fight Romeo, King of Puppets' first phase?

After defeating the King of Puppets, a cut-scene will play. After it ends, the second fight with Romeo, King of Puppets, will begin. He will be a much smaller opponent, although very fast and agile. Moreover, his dodges and some attacks inflict the overheat status, so it is good to have defense parts equipped that provide good protection against this type of damage.

Before starting the fight, spend a few seconds to repair your weapon by slowly moving away from the boss. He will most likely start with a jumping attack, after which he will quickly land right on top of you. Block and then attack just once. Patience is very important in this fight. If you go overboard with your attacks, he will throw you off balance or counter you.

When the boss's eye starts to glow red, immediately dodge to the side. Otherwise you will lose balance, and his next attack will surely hit you. If you manage to avoid the grab, you can attack him once, and then block his strike.

Romeo, the Puppet King can also stand still and wait for your attack. When you see that he is not moving and his weapon is close to his body, stop attacking. If you have already attacked, immediately block the blow or dodge to avoid getting hit.

The boss's fast speed is a big problem. He usually sets the ground he is on on fire and then quickly move to another place, ending this move with an attack. It does not deal significant damage, however, it's better to hold the block or do a perfect block, because even a well-executed dodge may not protect you from losing health.

Learning his attacks is very important in beating the boss. He has three different attack combinations.

1. The first one consists of three attacks that need to be blocked approximately every half a second.
2. The second variant is five horizontal attacks, which are all blocked with the same timing. Only the fifth attack is slightly delayed and linear.
3. The third attack is driving the weapon into the ground and taking it after a short while.

Romeo, King of Puppets can also use a fury attack. We do not recommend blocking it because it deals a lot of damage and is very easy to avoid due to its short range. He usually jumps into the air and lands practically in the same place where he stood, or can spin on the weapon.

Also be careful when the boss throws his weapon at you. He will teleport to it, catch it and attack again. Then you need to block twice quickly.

How to fight Romeo, King of Puppets' second phase?

The most important thing to know when fighting Romeo, King of Puppets is that when his health drops below 50%, he gains his most dangerous attack. He ignites his weapon, rubbing it against his arm, and after a while he will start dancing in the air. This sequence consists of ten attacks. They are very difficult to block due to frequent tempo changes and the overheat status.

We recommend dodging to the side. Below we present a detailed sequence:

1. first the boss makes a dash forward, and when he lands, he will make two quick attacks. then he will perform a forward jump ending with a spinning attack. Perform a dodge to the side after each of his jumps.
2. then he will repeat the same sequence of movements. Deal with them the same way as before.
3. The third sequence is different. first he will start a horizontal attack, then he will jump out, making two quick slashes in the air, and finally, when he lands, he will attack again, slightly delaying his attack. you must dodge to the side twice quickly while the boss is jumping into the air, and then wait a while to dodge again.
