Parade Master is the first boss you will encounter on your way. He is encountered guarding the entrance to the so called Hub, which is a safe place where you can upgrade your weapons, hero, and buy items. Where to find the Parade Master?
Parade Master is the first boss you will have to face. The game starts in the Krat Central Station Plaza area, and the boss is at its end - the entrance to Hotel Krat.
Parade Master's first phase
Parade Master is a large-sized puppet that attacks with its hands in the first phase. The boss, despite his size, is very mobile and jumps often to close the distance between you As with every opponent, remember to use Fable Arts of your weapon!.
The basic tip for this encounter is to try to block his attacks as often as possible. The attacks are quite predictable and telegraphed well in advance, so you shouldn't have problems doing perfect blocks, which are essential in this battle, as they will allow you to stun the enemy faster.
Another feature of his moveset is an attack with a rod situated on his head. This attack is also easy to block, but if you're having problems with perfect blocks, you can do a side dodge so the hit misses. A good opportunity to deal damage to him is after the aforementioned rod attack.
His jump may cause problems here. The move is initiated after the boss does two quick steps in your direction, and then jumps into the air and slams his entire body into the ground. You can either block the attack or do a side dodge. Both options will give you time to attack the Parade Master.
After a few blocks and dealing some damage the boss's health bar will turn white. If you hit him with a charged attack then, he will become Groggy. This is a good opportunity for a Fatal Attack. Approach the boss and perform a fast attack to deal a lot of damage.
The boss's most dangerous attack is slamming his hand into the ground after it glows red. You cannot mitigate this attack, and avoiding it is also hard. The only option now is to escape, or - if you are confident in your abilities - perfect blocking. If you manage to do a perfect block, the boss health will be significantly reduced.
Parade Master's second phase
When the boss's health drops below 60%, he will remove the cage from his shoulders and pull out a rod with his head, gaining a new weapon with a better range. In this phase, Parade Master becomes much more aggressive, his combos are longer, and he deals more damage. Dodging his attacks is pointless, so you need to rely mainly on perfect blocking.
If you see the boss slamming the ground with his weapon and staying idle for a few seconds, under no circumstances attack him more than once. This is because the idle stance is just a preparation for a combo with his weapon concluding with a red, charged attack. The combo consists of two quick attacks and one slower. Try to block them all to induce Groggy status on the boss.
If the boss performs a 360-degree spin, watch out for incoming attacks - most of the time, it will be 3 attacks and they aren't telegraphed well. It is best to retreat to safe distance and wait for the boss to switch attacks. If there is a lot of distance to cover between you, most probably the boss will run up to you and start swinging his weapon two times in a short period of time. You can block these attacks and return with a charged counter.
Remember to do Fatal Attacks every time the boss is Grogged. This attack of yours deals a lot of damage and will quickly bring the boss to the brink of destruction.
