Kingdom Come Deliverance: Siege Kingdom Come Deliverance Guide & Walkthrough
Last update: 26 April 2024
Siege is one of the most important and the longest quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Before the title siege of the Talmberg castle, you will first have to do all the preparations.
If you want to get all the achievements, pay attention to the quest's side objectives. Completing all of them will allow you to receive the Talmberger achievement.
- Meeting Robard and Feyfar (obligatory objective)
- Quartermasters jobs (side objective)
- Captain Bernards task (side objective)
- Sir Divish mission (side objective)
- Go back to Feyfar (obligator objective)
Meeting Robard and Feyfar (obligatory objective)
Captain Robard can be fount in the camp - he will tell you about the possibility of getting support in the preparations. This will unlock a series of side objectives.
Talking to Tobias Feyfar will reveal that you need an engineer to construct a trebuchet. This triggers another main quest, Rocketeer. Do that right away (you can find the walkthrough in a separate chapter dedicated to that mission) or after completing the side objectives.
Quartermasters jobs (side objective)
You will learn from the quartermaster that he needs help with supplying beer and meet:
- Getting the meat is easy. You could hunt for game, but it's much faster to visit any butcher and buy 30 pieces of meat (don't have to be the same type). Deliver the meat before it deteriorates.
- Getting the beer can be more troublesome - not every innkeeper can help you. Go to the Inn in the Glade in the center of the map - the exact location can be seen above. Talk to the keeper - you have to convince him to deliver the beer supplies (he has 10 persuasion points and 6 intimidation points).
Go back to the quartermaster to give him the meat and tell about the beer. You will get 90 groschen for each job (180 groschen total).
That's not all. You can also offer your assistance in getting the pitch (you can learn that from Robard). Go to the coalers camping in the forest south of Talmberg. Talk to their boss:
- If you've helped the charcoal burners to fend of the bandits during the Ginger in a Pickle main quest, they will offer their assistance right away.
- If you haven't done that, you might need to use a unique dialogue option, or just pay for the pitch.
Whatever you do, go back to the quartermaster after securing the supply of pitch. You will receive 90 groschen.
Captain Bernards task (side objective)
Bernard needs help getting a supply of potions to keep his soldiers awake. You will need to visit any herbalist first; after doing that, the drill is always identical:
- If the herbalist isn't friendly enough towards you, Henry will only get a recipe for the potions. That's not good, since you will need to spend a lot of time brewing the concoctions at an alchemy table.
- If the herbalist is friendly enough, they will offer Henry their help.
Important - to ensure you actually get the herbalist to help you, you should visit the herbalist in the village, where your reputation is the highest. If that's not enough, go to the trade tab, and choose any of your items to sell; don't finalize the deal right away - first, go to the barter tab and lower the price as much as you can, making the herbalist pay less. This will improve your relations. If that doesn't help - try again. Eventually, you should be able to get their help.
That's not all. You will still have to obtain the herbs yourself - Mint x120, Valerian x60 and Wormwood x12. Here's what you can do:
- Go visit gardens - they have their own markers on the map (see the screen). You can mostly find them nearby herbalists' houses. Apart from that, you can also go to the bigger garden in Sassau and look for other gardens in the forest (east of Sassau, for example).
- Buy the herbs - you can buy some right away from the herbalist that helped you. Otherwise, visit anyone you can. Each herbalist will only have a limited amount of herbs to sell. Don't hope for a quick and easy resolution.
After obtaining the herbs, give the herbalist around 1.5 days to prepare the potions and then take them to Bernard. You will receive quite a sum for that - 325 groschen.
Sir Divish mission (side objective)
Sir Divish will order you to do two things. The first one requires you to bring a priest to Talmberg. You can do that in two ways:
- Meet Father Godwin of Uzhitz - his answer depends on his relations with Henry. If you two are pals, he should agree. If you quarreled before (if you didn't drink with him during the Mysterious Ways quest or have caused deaths of the lumberjacks in the Playing with the Devil quest) he will probably deny. If you have the Bard's Potion, which improves Speech, you should drink it to have a better shot at convincing the man.
- Otherwise, meet Father Simon - Henry has to save him first, as part of the side quest A Man of the Cloth - if you haven't done that, check out the chapter containing Rovna side quests. Meet Simon in the village. After you've saved his life, he will be happy to join you right away.
The reward for this part is 90 groschen.
The second task given by Divish is about recruiting a Medicus, who will help patching up the wounded. Go to the monastery in Sassau. The man you're looking for is Brother Nicodemus, but he doesn't agree to join the cause by default. In order to convince him, you need to complete a side quest - God's Hands. You can find a description of that quest in the chapter dedicated to Sassau side quests. The quest requires you to heal all the sick on the monastery with the help of Nicodemus and Johanka. Only after doing that can you count for Nicodemus' help. The reward for this task is 90 groschen.
Go back to Feyfar (obligator objective)
Go back to Tobias Feyfar after completing the Racketeer side quest, i.e. after recruiting Konrad Kyeser. You should, however, complete all of the above quests first. Tobias will tell you he needs a few days to finish building the Trebuchet. You will be able to skip the time a few days forward and go back to the camp to see a cut scene with the engine being tested.
Siege will not disappear from the quest list. The game will unlock new main quests. The first one will be Cold Steel, Hot Blood. Take care only of these, and the Siege will eventually be completed as well.
