Last update: 21 September 2021
In the Whittleton Creek mission in the Hitman 2, In addition to eliminating two targets, Agent 47 must also find three different clues about Janus himself, his relationship with Constant and the planned date of their meeting. Our guide will show you the easiest way to the three clues to complete the mission quickly.
- Basic info
- Clue 1 - Court records (Batty's Residence)
- Clue 2 - Letter from Janus (Cassidy's Residence)
- Clue 3 - Surveillance Tape (Cassidy's Residence)
Basic info
- In order to complete the mission in Whittleton Creek, you only need to discover any three from the available clues. There are more of them on the map. However, learning them is optional.
- If you play on easy or normal difficulty, the game will mark some clue-related spots with blue color on the map. When playing the mission on the highest difficulty level, you won't receive any additional hints.
- Most of the clues are always available, and we focused on them in the following description. However, there are clues (e.g. a box of cigars buried in the reservoir for protected frogs) that may not be available during one of the playthroughs (it is random).
- You can search for clues at the beginning of the mission, after you've eliminated both targets or (the best idea) when preparing for the assassination.
Clue 1 - Court records (Batty's Residence)
Lawsuit Documents are in a shed behind the Batty's residence (it is adjacent to Nolan Cassidy's house). James Batty strolls around the garden, but you can easily avoid/eliminate him or divert his attention using the bell at the entrance door of the house. You don't have to break into the shed - you can go in through the window.
Clue 2 - Letter from Janus (Cassidy's Residence)
For the purpose of obtaining this clue, as well as the third one described below, you must infiltrate Nolan Cassidy's residence, who is one of the targets for this mission. The best way to get inside the building is through the open garage. Once inside, it's worth to close the garage door behind you (button on the wall).
Turn on the generator in the garage, so that someone will come to turn it off again. Hide and take down whoever comes to the garage. If it's Spencer "The Hammer" Green then you should find a letter from Janus on his body. If another person appeared in the garage, restart the generator and try again.
It may lie on the counter in the kitchen - in the monitoring room. This will happen if Spencer Green hasn't taken it away yet. In such a situation it is worth stealing the letter after putting on a guard's uniform.
Clue 3 - Surveillance Tape (Cassidy's Residence)
The third clue can also be found in Cassidy's residence. Get to the kitchen, where the surveillance system is located (preferably after putting on a guard's uniform). You can find the Surveillance Tape on the table with laptops.
Unfortunately, simply taking the tape doesn't solve the problem, because you have to listen to it. Go to the Lewinsky residence on the opposite side of the street.
Jump over the fence to find yourself at the back of the residence. There are three opponents in this area. If you use Cassidy's bodyguard uniform, you don't have to worry about them. Otherwise, use high-growing plants to avoid detection. You must reach the scaffolding shown in the picture. Go up the ladder to the top.
Go through the window. Once you're in an empty room, find the rope (picture 1). Pulling it will pull down the ladder leading to the attic. You'll find a tape recorder in the attic. Put on the previously found tape and listen to the recording to get the last required clue.
