On this page of the Hitman 2 game guide, we have compiled the most important unique methods for eliminating Nolan Cassidy in the Whittleton Creek mission. The list also covers the challenges associated with the assassination, that require, e.g. interactions with specific objects or the use of certain disguises. Some of these techniques are part of the story missions, but you can also execute them independently.

1. Nolan Cassidy by default travels the east side of the map, along Stonybrook Road. The target of your mission also returns to his property from time to time. Nolan can make an immediate decision to return to his home if he is shot or if the alarm goes off (either the fire alarm or the alarm in the room on the floor where the weapons are stored).
2. Nolan may decide to visit a party organized at the Wilson Property, however, this will happen only if the other guests who are attending the party have already been served and Agent 47 must of course "help" with said service (by completing one of the story missions).
3. Another opportunity to influence Nolan Cassidy's daily schedule is to meet him in the guise of a local realtor. The target of this mission is interested in purchasing the Schmidt Residence and he can go there in order to inspect the property. There is a basement inside, which houses a booby-trapped vault - the perfect location for Cassidy's departure from this world.
4. The Cassidy Property is off-limits. Cassidy's bodyguards and fumigator may be present in the area, however, the worker responsible for pest control can only enter the garden. It is best to sneak into the building through the garage. Agent 47 can start a generator there and easily eliminate the person/people who enter.

Whittleton Creek Blackout

This challenge is not related to any of the story missions and does not only concern Nolan Cassidy, as in order to complete the challenge, you must kill both targets with electricity. If you cannot accomplish this in the case of both of the targets, use this method to get rid of any one of them - you will complete a separate (minor) challenge Whittleton Creek Electric.

In the case of Nolan Cassidy, the best way to electrocute him is to sabotage one of the hydrants along the Stonybrook Road where he frequently travels. You will need two items to succeed in this act of sabotage:

1. Wrench - They are scattered throughout various places on the map. You can, e.g. visit the construction site.
2. Car Battery - They can be found in several locations. The garage of the Wilson Property is an unrestricted area which also contains a battery.

The plan of action involves using a wrench to sabotage a hydrant and then placing a battery at the location. Nolan will be fatally electrocuted after entering the puddle. However, the implementation of this plan is associated with some unfortunate difficulties:

1. Agent 47 cannot be seen while sabotaging the hydrant.
2. The hydrant failure can be (prematurely) noticed by other individuals who will then rush to repair it. A repaired hydrant cannot be sabotaged again. You can prevent such a situation in two ways. Firstly, you can try to eliminate or distract any potentially problematic NPCs, e.g. with a coin throw. Secondly, you can attempt to execute the sabotage as late as possible, i.e. when you will be able to see Nolan heading towards a specific hydrant (while walking along the pavement).

Sold!

This challenge is related to the House For Sale story mission. A full description of this variant of the assassination can be found in the chapter which describes all of the story missions.

1. Reach the muffin stand and turn on the radio to distract the muffin vendor, then stun/kill him and put on the server disguise.
2. Take one of the muffins, place it on the tray with free samples and add some rat poison.
3. Wait for the realtor to taste the poisoned muffin. Stun/kill him when he reaches the back of the shed in the park and then put on the realtor disguise. You should also grab the key.
4. Meet with Nolan Cassidy while wearing the disguise and then head to the Schmidt Residence. Use the key to open the house.
5. Reach the basement of the Schmidt Residence together with Nolan, where you must show him the vault.
6. Unlock the vault by using the keycard which is located nearby and then wait for Nolan to enter the code that disables the laser traps.
7. After Nolan Cassidy enters the vault, switch the lasers back on. The target of your mission will die in the resulting explosion.

Reasonable Scope

This challenge is not related to any of the story missions and does not only concern Nolan Cassidy, as in order to complete the challenge, you must kill both mission targets with a sniper rifle while taking the shots from a treehouse. If it proves troublesome for you to eliminate both of your targets in such a fashion, use this method to eliminate just one of them - this will allow you to complete the separate (minor) challenge Doable Scope.

The treehouse is located at the back of the Schmidt Residence and can be seen in the picture above. You must take a sniper rifle with you on this mission. Have one delivered to Whittleton Creek, take the suitcase to the vicinity of the treehouse, and only then retrieve the weapon from the case. By default, Nolan Cassidy travels around areas which will make it impossible to snipe him from the treehouse. The Charbroiled story mission is the solution to this problem. The target will then appear at the party at the Wilson Property and you will be able to shoot him without any issues.

A Buffet To You, Sir

This challenge is related to the Charbroiled story mission. A full description of this variant of the assassination can be found in the chapter which describes all of the story missions.

1. Find a propane can (e.g. in the garden of the Griswold Residence) and install it in the barbeque of the Wilson Property.
2. Acquire a waiter's outfit - you can go to the first floor of the building and attack the waiter who is standing in one of the rooms.
3. Reach the food stand and serve food to the guests. You must take care of all of the interested people.
4. Poison some food with rat poison and wait for Nolan Cassidy to arrive at the party.
5. Invite Nolan to try one of the snacks.
6. Follow Nolan to the bathroom at the Wilson Property and drown him in the toilet while he vomits.

Pass Gas

This challenge is related to the Pest Control story mission. A full description of this variant of the assassination can be found in the chapter which describes all of the story missions.

1. Visit the construction site, break into one of the containers and steal some bug spray from it.
2. Reach the vicinity of the Batty Residence, stun/kill the Pest Control worker and put on the fumigator outfit.
3. Sneak to the back of the Cassidy Property. Insert the insecticide into the fumigation machine which is located on one of the sides of the building.
4. Wait for Nolan Cassidy to return to his home or trigger an alarm (either the fire alarm or the alarm in the room where the weapons are stored) to speed up this process.
5. Turn on the fumigation machine and enter the house while still wearing the previously acquired outfit. Find the now unconscious Nolan Cassidy, and assassinate him (e.g. snap his neck).

Minor challenges

1. Tasteless, Traceless - You can use a lethal poison, e.g. after Nolan Cassidy appears at the party in the garden of the Wilson Property.
2. Piano Man; Straight Shot - Nolan can be assassinated quite easily, e.g. when you are alone with him in the vault at the Schmidt Residence.
