You'll encounter weird symbols on chambers' doors almost immediately after starting the game - Hades: Door symbols - what do they mean? - FAQ - Hades Guide

You'll encounter weird symbols on chambers' doors almost immediately after starting the game. Some chambers have only one available exit, but others can have two or three.

The game doesn't display any text info about a symbol's meaning, but our guide should help you understand them. We don't advise you to choose random doors, as entering chambers with specific rewards or loot inside will help you progress. For example, look for the doors with a Centaur Heart symbol if your maximum health is lacking, while if you have a lot of money you should look for symbols that represent Charon's shops.

The following list contains the most important symbols, i.e. the ones that appear in almost every run and are worth remembering. You can additionally encounter less common symbols connected, for example, to a specific deity. In those cases it's not too important to learn the meaning of the symbol. Of course, we advise you to always check a symbol you're encountering for the first time (unless you need to prioritise something else).

Additional note - some of the boons offered by Chaos (such as Enshrouded Strike) temporarily obscure the symbols with an eye symbol, forcing you to choose doors at random. This kind of handicap should only be taken if you're still in an early stage of the run (e.g. in Tartarus), you don't need to worry about high-thread chambers or look for specific rooms (e.g. the shops).
