Crafting tips in Graveyard Keeper Graveyard Keeper Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 03 September 2018
In Graveyard Keeper, crafting is hugely important. It allows you to craft new items, devices, and foods, without which you cannot continue story missions. We have prepared some info that will let you use this mechanic with less effort.
Schemes
In order to create a machine in Graveyard Keeper, you need a blueprint. You can obtain these from different characters or develop the technology tree. If you look at the technology tree, you will see that each skill also shows a device it unlocks.
Chests
In Graveyard Keeper you will get a few crates at the very beginning. Each of these can be found in a different location. They're not connected. Remember that so that you don't run to the other side of the map without the needed resources.
Items that are stored in crates or in dedicated places (stone stockpiles) will be used during crafting. However, the character must be in the location where the raw materials are stored.
Example: If you are in the Workyard, you can create a Wooden Plank. For this you need 1 flitch. In order to create a Wooden Plank you don't need to put a flitch in the inventory, just have it in your chest. If you go to carpenter's workbench you will be able to create a Wooden Plank.
The same applies to other resources and materials, e.g. if you have a stone stockpile block. When you come to Stone Cutter II, you will be able to convert it into a piece of stone without putting any stones to your inventory.
Workbench
In order to create any sort of equipment in Graveyard Keeper, you need a workbench. These are located in every location, where you can build something.
The equipment depends on the environment - you cannot put a workbench in the kitchen, etc.
