Fishing is one of the most difficult game mechanics. However, fish are suitable for quests and cooking. Fish dishes give a lot of energy, which is useful when exploring dungeons.

However, it is very difficult to earn money from fishing even though some fish are very valuable. For the most valuable fish you can get as many as 5 gold coins, but the chance to catch those it is very small.

How to fish in Graveyard Keeper?

Types of fish

  1. Anchovy - fish it day and night in Waterfall. To catch it, put on the Butterfly or Moth lure.
  2. Bream - the fastest way of getting it is to fish during the day in a location called Forest near the river. To catch it, put on the Butterfly or Moth lure.
  3. Eel - Steel Lure will give you the best chance of getting it, while other lures made of insects will give you little chance. To catch it you need to go on a day trip to the Sea.
  4. Frog - they should be caught with butterfly lure quite fast. Go to the location of The Village during the day to catch frogs, at night the chances are much smaller.
  5. Gold Crucian - this is one of the most expensive fish, you can sell it for 1 gold coin and 50 brown ones. To catch it you need Gold Lure or Gem Lure. You may catch it only during the day at Sea.
  6. Goldfish - you can sell it for 5 gold coins. Cast your rod at night in the Sea using Gem Lure.
  7. Gudgeon - the fastest chance of catching it is on the River, during the day, and using butterfly as a bait.
  8. Perch - catch it during the day in the Village, using Maggota as a lure.
  9. Pike - it is easiest to catch it during the day in Waterfall or Village, using Gudgeon as bait.
  10. Salmon - catch it in the Sea, during the day, with Steel Lure or Gold Lure. However, use Gold Lure to catch only specimens marked with a gold star.
  11. Silver Crucian - you may catch it on the River, Sea and Village, during the day, with Steel Lure, Gem Lure or Gold Lure. However, use Gold Lure and Gem Lure to catch only those specimens that are marked with a gold star.
  12. Sturgeon - catch it in the River and Waterfall at day and night. You must use Steel Lure or Gold Lure. However, use Gold Lure to catch only the specimens marked with a gold star.
  13. Tilapia - the fastest way of catching it is during the day in the River or Sea, and using the Butterfly as bait.
