Dish and crop quality in Graveyard Keeper? Graveyard Keeper Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 03 September 2018
The dishes and some of the crops in Graveyard Keeper have different levels of quality. The higher the level of an item, the more it's worth in the game, so you can get more money and energy. On the "What can be planted on a farm?" page of our guide you will find a list of products with different quality levels.
Crop quality
In order to improve the quality of your crops, you can use the right fertilizers. You will create these on alchemy workbenches. You will find ways to prepare potions and fertilizers on the pages dedicated to alchemy.
You also need to pay attention to the quality level of your seeds. Graveyard Keeper does not currently have gold seeds. So, you need to use the silver seeds together with the fertilizer to get a gold harvest. It is unlikely that you will get a gold crop from normal seeds.
Dish and drink quality
The quality of drinks and dishes is influenced by the quality of individual ingredients. On the recipe page, you will find detailed regulations and information on the quality of individual products.
To create a dish for a brown star you must have brown raw materials. However, if you mix better quality ingredients with brown ones, you will also get a brown star dish.
If you want to create a dish with a silver star you have to use silver and gold ingredients. If you use brown, the food will automatically drop in quality.
You can't use any ingredients other than those marked with a gold star to create a delicious dish. However, this does not give a 100% chance for a golden dish. You can be sure of the golden star with the wine though.
The game will help you with this mechanic. If you place ingredients in the machine, you will see a table as seen on the screen above. The game shows you how big are your chances of achieving a certain quality of a given item and food. All you need to do is change the quality of the items (the ingredient icon next to it). This will help you find out faster what product you are going to get.
