The power boxes can always be found on the alarm towers

Even if Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands is not a fully-fledged stealth action game, sneaking and silent disposal of enemies stationed in each base is a fun and at the same time efficient method. Unfortunately, most of the bases have an alarm system that can alert the whole site, sending all available units to chase down and eliminate your whole team. The question is: How to disable the alarm system, and how to silence an already running one?

The procedure is simple. All you have to do is to locate the power supply (shaped like a fuse box) that powers the whole mechanism. These devices can be found mounted on speaker towers that are placed around enemy bases. You can locate them easily using your binoculars or a drone - simply look at the tower to mark it with a characteristic speaker icon.

Once you've located a power box, simply fire at it to destroy it. However, you should perform such a move with a silenced weapon to avoid the same thing you want to avoid. The destroyed alarm box emits a muffled sound (around a few meters in range) which can alert nearby personnel. In such circumstances, take care of the troublesome guard before destroying the box.

The main advantage of having the alarm system disabled is the lack of helicopter support, which is one of the toughest units your opponent can muster. However, a disabled alarm system is not the end of the problem:

  • Your enemy can still call for "small reinforcements" - a few enemies driving a single car - same as everywhere else
  • If the alarm system is online, the enemy needs only a few seconds to sound the alarm. Without it, you have at least 10 seconds before the enemy manages to report your location through his radio.
