Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is a remastered version of Final Fantasy Type-0, a jRPG released in 2001 on PlayStation Portable exclusively in Japan. The HD version was released on PC and 8th generation consoles. The game takes place in the fantasy world Orience, which, after a period of peace, was once again divided by war. Story focuses on twelve adepts from a magic academy who were delegated to defend the country's borders.

During the gameplay we step into the shoes of one of the two operators of a small space station, and it is our task to defend it against consecutive waves of enemy attacks. The missions are played out in randomly generated locations, and the players need to navigate the corridors of the station in order to reach the various control consoles that are located inside them.
