Complete edition of Darksiders II, a TPP action game released in 2012, now remastered for the eight generation consoles by Nordic Games, who gained the license after the closure of THQ company. In the game you become one of the legendary Horsemen of the Apocalypse, trying to solve a complex intrigue and help one of his brothers, who got into some serious troubles.
Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition is an enhanced edition of Darksiders II, bringing forth more than a number of game improvements, but also all DLCs and expansions released to date. The production was released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One by Nordic Games - the current owner of the franchise after the THQ company went bankrupt.
Story-wise, Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition for PC, PS4 and XONE is not different from the base game. You play as Death – one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse – trying to help a brother of his, War, who got into some serious trouble. As you begin to fight your way through the spirit world, you not only strive to uncover the overlaying intrigue, but also deal with the protagonist’s own problems and weaknesses. Moreover, you can do various missions and side quests that complement the main story and the setting.
Just as the original game, Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition for PC, PS4 and XONE puts much emphasis on spectacular combat in vast locations that you can explore on the back of your horse (or on foot). Some of the acrobatic moves the protagonist can use must be first unlocked along with new special skills gained by the player over time.
It is noteworthy that the enhanced edition works much smoother than the original production, therefore your protagonist’s acrobatics look even more impressive. Furthermore, the graphics look significantly better. The updated version has more detailed textures of both characters and environments, enhanced animations, more realistic lighting and weather effects. Sounds and music have remained unchanged.

Darksiders is a series of action adventure games with RPG elements and a third-person perspective. The plot of the series is loosely based on the biblical Book of Revelation, also known as the Revelation of St. John. The characters of the protagonists are reminiscent of the famous Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and the backdrop for the gameplay is the dramatic scenes of the end of the world - angels and demons fight in the ruins of modern cities, bringing death and destruction to a defenseless civilization of humans.

Game Ratings for Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition Video Game.
GamingTrend: 80 / 100 by Ron Burke
Might be worth a double dip — it's every bit as fun as you remember, and this version comes with all of the bells and whistles, as well as rebalanced combat, tighter controls, and better loot tables. There are some framerate hitches to go along with the graphical and lighting overhaul, and there isn't a whole lot new here, but if you missed out the first time, don't let this one pass you by.
VideoGamer: 7 / 10
A by-the-numbers remaster, and one that would've benefited from a bit more love. For those who just wanted to see what all the fuss was about on their Xbox One or PS4, however, it suffices.
Metro GameCentral: 7 / 10 by Alex Hudson
It's not original, and it's often unfocused, but Darksiders II remains one of the better Zelda clones – even if this slipshod remaster does it few favours.
