A two-dimensional platformer that resembles the iconic Limbo. It was developed by two independent programmers: Adrian Stutz and Florian Faller and has won many industry awards, including Excellence in Visual Arts. We play as a little creature that only moves to the right, traversing levels filled with traps and enemies. Our character can fight back by throwing objects or attacking with a stick, while he retains his distance.
Mekazoo

A colorful 2.5D platform game that is the debut production of an independent studio The Good Mood Creators. The main hero of Mekazoo is a likeable armadillo that learns that his friends had disappeared, and embarks on a journey to find them. The gameplay is similar to genre classics such as Sonic or Donkey Kong Country.
King Rabbit

King Rabbit is a mobile puzzle/platformer developed by RareSloth. The plot is not that important and serve a secondary role in the game. We play as the titular King Rabbit whose job is to save his subordinates from the dangers that threaten them. The game is presented from a bird's-eye perspective. Gameplay focuses on going through the levels and solving the encountered logical and environmental puzzles. We will also have to avoid the ever-present traps and face all kinds of enemies.
SkyKeepers

A side-scroller platformer created by an indie developer, Sword Twin Studios. SkyKeepers is set in a fantasy world inspired by culture and mythology of Oceania. We play as a Skykeeper Village leader who was turned into a stone. When we free ourselves from the curse we discover that the village was taken over by evil ghosts. The only thing left for us to do is to take an axe and fight back. The action is presented from a side view.
Rise & Shine

A combination of a classic platformer with a dynamic shooter. The game was created by Super Mega Team - an independent developer. The player is taken to Gamearth, a planet which fell victim to space invaders who call themselves Nexgen. Rise is the only hope the inhabitants of Gamearth have - he is an 11-year-old boy equipped with a holy artifact - a pistol known as Shine.

The game focuses on exploration of a randomly generated comic book-like world, avoiding many traps and obstacles, and on combat with encountered enemies. The protagonist can use various shotguns, machine guns, rocket launchers, and grenade launchers.

A two-dimensional metroidvania action game developed by independent studio Thunder Lotus Games – the producer of the warmly-received Jotun. In Sundered, the player assumes the role of a wanderer who travels through a ruined, post-apocalyptic world. The story of the game is strongly connected to its mechanics, as the price of the progress of the protagonist is paid with his humanity – what powers the player decides to wield, will have impact on the ending of the game.

Another entry in the BIT.TRIP series – 2D auto runner platformers – developed by Gaijin Entertainment. The plot of Runner3 is a continuation of the adventures of CommenderVideo, the hero from the previous games. The gameplay didn't change much when compared to the previous titles but there are a few new features and improvements which are the result of community feedback.

A mobile platform game from an independent Finish studio Muro, which evolved from a simple but successful project initiated by a few Alto University students. In Shadow Bug, we assume the role of a militant worm armed with two swords. The protagonist's job is to clear the forest of the hostile bugs and other opponents. During the gameplay, we traverse successive levels, in which we meet a whole bunch of different enemies and a large number of traps, which often require some cleverness.

A sequel to Shadow Bug, a mobile arcade game by Muro Studios. In Shadow Bug Rush you play as a ninja worm, who makes his way through dangerous level. Like in classic platform games, you explore 2D locations, fight enemies and avoid traps. The controls are noteworthy, sine you hold you device horizontally and determine where the protagonist is going by touching the screen with your finger. To attack an enemy, you have to click on them.

The debut of a French developer known as Too Kind. The game is a two-dimensional platformer and was funded on Kickstarter. The plot in Pankapu was divided into two branches. On one hand, the game tells a story of the brave warrior Pankapu - as told by a father reading this story to his child, Jaha'rell. The actual gameplay is rooted in that story, for the player assumes the role of said warrior, who was created by the god of dreams in order to eradicate the nightmares invading this world.

The action takes place in Aether, a war-torn fantasy world in which people from various civilizations can manipulate the elements – Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. The heroes we control try to learn about the roots of the endless conflict, which takes loads of fighting. The gameplay of Rivals of Aether, designed by Dan Fornace, comes down to fighting numerous battles on numerous 2D arenas.
Magic Mansion

A two-dimensional retro platformer game which is available free of charge on mobile platforms. The advertisements that are present in-game can be switched off with a single micropayment. In Magic Mansion, we assume the role of a character that tries to reach the top of a grand tower. The production offers a considerable set of various heroes, many of whom come from previous games from Nitrome.

Gampley in JumpJet Rex is inspired by the classic platformers. We travel through forty different levels, filled with various traps and enemies that want to see Rex dead. Rocket boots are our primary item and means of transport.

The second installment of the famous series of two-dimensional Metal Slug shooters. As we play, we play the role of soldiers joining the battle with the evil general Morden, who once again threatens the world. During the game we fight with our opponents using various weapons and vehicles.
In the Shadows

In the Shadows has us assume the role of a person who embarks on an emotional journey to the times of childhood where they have to face their fears, symbolized by various monsters. The gameplay mechanics combine arcade elements with logic puzzles that use light as their primary element.

A sequel to the two-dimensional platform game released by Ratloop Asia in 2011. The story of Rocketbirds 2: Evolution takes place once again in an alternative reality in which birds became the dominant species. During the game player assumes the role of agent Hardboiled Chicken, the protagonist of the previous entry in the series. Once again he is trying to stop the evil Putzki who is attempting to take over the world. Gameplay mechanics are similar as in the previous installment of the series.

A game by Toka Loka Games studio, known for a mobile adventure game The Bait. Goo Saga takes us to a secret underwater laboratory, where a strange flexible goo comes to life. The player takes control of the titular Goo, which tries to find its creator as well as purpose of life. Mechanically, Goo Saga is a 2D platformer in Leo’s Fortune style. Going through levels requires a lot of skill, as the hero’s moves are really clumsy.
Downwell

An old school 2D rogue-like platform shooter. Despite the fact of being quite simple, Downwell features extraordinary mechanics and high difficulty level. You are in control of a hero wearing special military gun-boots that enable him to shoot enemies, crush rocks, and perform air stunts. The action is set in a narrow, bottomless well filled with carefully-guarded treasures.

A dynamic action platform game in which the player, as the titular ninja warrior, faces an army of robots. 10 Second Ninja X is an improved version of 10 Second Ninja, a game that was released in 2014 on personal computers. Both titles were developed by independent studio Four Circle Interactive. On each level the player is tasked with eliminating robots scattered across the map as fast as possible – by using either katana or firearms.

An action-puzzle game inspired by the annual “Earth Hour” event organized by WWF foundation. The game was developed by the Russian studio Brainy. It shows how much the modern world depends on electricity. When an accident in the power plant causes the whole city to run out of electricity, the player assumes the role of the last “living” spark and is tasked with restoring the power and allowing the inhabitants of the city to function normally.
101 Ways to Die

A brutal, although humorous, logic platformer game by Four Door Lemon, an independent British studio. We assume the role of an assistant of the mad professor Splattunfuder’s, who at the end of his career decided to create an unusual guide that describes 101 ways of dying. As a result of unfortunate events, the initial version of his “work” was destroyed, and our task is to help the scientist recreate it with the use of hordes of creatures called Splatts, which were bred solely for this purpose.

Life Goes On is a humorous platformer game by the independent studio Infinite Monkeys. The player assumes control of a group of brave knights who set out to seek the mythical Cup of Life. While the mission is anything but safe, the valiant warriors are willing to give their lives in order to help their successors. The goal is to bring a knight to the end of a level where a prize awaits. Before that, however, you have to overcome a number of deadly traps.
