Gampley in JumpJet Rex is inspired by the classic platformers. We travel through forty different levels, filled with various traps and enemies that want to see Rex dead. Rocket boots are our primary item and means of transport.

JumpJet Rex Description
JumpJet Rex is a two-dimensional platformer released on PC and XONE. The game refers to the classics of the genre from the early 90s and the era of 16-bit consoles. TreeFortess Games, a small, independent studio from Canada, is responsible for creating the game. Their debut was quite successful thanks to Bardbarian, a casual strategy.
Plot
As in most classic platformers, the plot isn't that important. We play as a friendly dinosaur, who tries to save his species from extinction using the latest technologies, such as jet boots.
Mechanics
The gameplay in JumpJet Rex doesn't deviate from the genre's standards - we control our hero by jumping and move through more than 40 challenging levels, filled with a variety of traps and enemies. Each level can be replayed to improve the previously achieved score.
Our basic gadgets are the jet boots, thanks to which the protagonist can jump to heights that aren't normally attainable, and - thanks to the special, accelerated mode - move horizontally. The game also offers a whole lot of secret places and collectibles, giving quite a wide range of possibilities of personalization.
Game modes
In addition to the classic single-player mode, JumpJet Rex also has a local multiplayer mode. Here, we can complete levels together with another player, as well as compete with them in several modes such as deathmatch, "capture the cookie" or chase mode.
Technical aspects
JumpJet Rex, released on PC and XONE, refers quite clearly to the classics of the genre, offering not only exquisite graphics done in the style known from the 16-bit consoles but also a chiptune soundtrack characteristic of that time.
