Another entry in the BIT.TRIP series – 2D auto runner platformers – developed by Gaijin Entertainment. The plot of Runner3 is a continuation of the adventures of CommenderVideo, the hero from the previous games. The gameplay didn't change much when compared to the previous titles but there are a few new features and improvements which are the result of community feedback.

Mechanics

The gameplay didn't change much when compared to the previous titles. The game uses "auto runner" mechanics – during the game our character runs automatically to the right and our goal is to lead him through dozens of various levels. CommanderVideo has to avoid numerous traps by jumping over or sliding under them.

What is interesting is that all actions are performed accordingly to the music's rhythm – each action creates a sound and the soundtrack's tempo determines how fast our hero runs and the number of hazards. With time, we can unlock new abilities for the hero – using them in the right way is the key to success. It should also be mentioned that the developers listened to the series' community and added new features and made improvements to the already existing ones.

Technical aspects

Runner3, available on PC, XONE and etc., uses the same technology as the previous games in this series. Colorful, 2D graphics are made in pixel art style. The game also has an original soundtrack created for this game.
