Mechanics

When it comes to mechanics, Mekazoo reuses typical mechanics known in the genre, connecting platform game elements with modern graphics and solutions. As can easily be imagined, the core of the game is proceeding through the levels filled with traps and other dangers, gathering pick-ups and defeating encountered enemies. At the beginning, we control only the aforementioned armadillo, but as the game progresses, we gradually rescue his missing animal friends, i.e. a frog, kangaroo, pelican, and panda, who become playable characters. Each of them has unique abilities, and their use is necessary to combat the encountered odds. It should be mentioned that only two characters can be chosen for a single level, which encourages players to experiment, as many obstacles can be beat in many different ways.

Game Modes

Aside from typical singleplayer campaign, the developers prepared a split-screen cooperation mode.

Technical Aspects

Mekazoo for PC, XONE and PS4 is characteristic for its incredibly colorful visuals that are realized in a 2.5D environment. This means that even if the environment is fully 3D, we are confined strictly to pre-destined paths.
