Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

As a mercenary working for a ruthless military-industrial corporation, Vasily used to commit the worst kind of crimes - he murdered, tortured, and extorted from people.

An oldschool shooter game utilizing a top-down point of view, developed by Korean studio Neople Games. The game is set in an unspecified future, after the Alliance defeated the malevolent Kraken organization. Rumor has it that the group was not entirely destroyed and is currently preparing for another invasion. The protagonist, Leo, is a secret agent, who is sent to the former Kraken base in the Arctic to determine if the rumors are true.

A two-dimensional metroidvania action game developed by independent studio Thunder Lotus Games – the producer of the warmly-received Jotun. In Sundered, the player assumes the role of a wanderer who travels through a ruined, post-apocalyptic world. The story of the game is strongly connected to its mechanics, as the price of the progress of the protagonist is paid with his humanity – what powers the player decides to wield, will have impact on the ending of the game.

The story starts three years after the events of the first game, in which the world witnessed the invasion of monstrous beats, halted only by the titular God Eaters.

In terms of mechanics, Sanctum 2 does not introduce any revolutionary changes to the gameplay, focusing in particular on the new set of maps. The game still boils down to the proper deployment of defensive structures to prevent the next waves of aliens from destroying the energy nucleus, located in the central part of each location.

Far Cry Classic
