Sanctum 2 Description
Sanctum 2 is the sequel to the popular indie game released in 2011. As its predecessor, the game is a hybrid of FPS and tower defense RTS genres and was developed by Coffin Stain Studios.
The basic gameplay premises are based on the typical tower defense formula. On each map, there is an energy core, which has to defended against subsequent waves of assaulting aliens. Completing this objective will require us to build various defense structures, such as turrets or lasers, which can be enhanced with the points we gain for eliminating each attacker. The key to success is to set buildings in a way that extends the road the aliens have to travel, giving our towers more time to deal with the intruders.
Sanctum 2 offers some freshness thanks to the introduction of first-person perspective. Moreover, we can personally participate in repelling subsequent waves of hostiles using several kinds of armaments. Apart from the single player mode, Sanctum 2 also comes with cooperation mode.
