Evil Factory Description
Evil Factory is a mobile shooter released on AND and iOS in a free-to-play model with microtransactions. It was developed by Neople Games, a Korean studio known from an FPS available on PC called Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - First Assault, and released by Nexon.
Plot
The action of the game is set in an undefined future, eight years after the International Alliance created by the world powers overcame the evil Kraken group, which was trying to take control over the world. For the time being, humanity enjoys peace and prosperity, but this may soon come to an end. There are more and more rumors suggesting that not all enemies have been eliminated and that the survivors of the villains are slowly rebuilding their power in secret.
We play as an agent named Leo, who is sent to the former Arctic base of the Kraken group, to check if these reports are true. Once we arrive there, it turns out that the villains are a step from starting an invasion and it is our duty to stop them. To do this, we have to break through many floors full of powerful enemies.
Mechanics
Evil Factory, released on AND and iOS, is a shooter based on 8 and 16-bit productions of this genre. The action is observed from a bird's eye view, and all levels are in the form of a short corridor. There is no exploration here - the game is focused on combat. At the same time, we will not see hordes of weak opponents. Instead, each floor is a fight with a unique, powerful boss, sometimes supported by several minions.
The authors have not forgotten about the development system. During the game, we collect plans that allow us to build more and more powerful weapons and helmets that provide various helpful bonuses. We also collect cartridges, unlocking arcade mini-games, which are also modeled on 8-bit productions.
Technical aspects
The strong point of Evil Factory are its audiovisuals. The authors opted for a retro style full of colors and large pixels. The game is accompanied by catchy music composed by Jukio "Kuabee" Kallio, the creator of soundtracks for Luftrausers and Nuclear Throne.
