Dead Island: Ryder White

Dead Island: Ryder White is a DLC expansion that develops the story in Dead Island. Unlike multiplayer add-ons, this time we are dealing with a full story for a single player. Techland studio tried to extend the campaign known from the original version, making it an ideal proposition for those who still want to kill zombies on the tropical island of Banoi. The add-on is only available through digital distribution.

Plot

We play as Ryder White, well known to those who played Dead Island. The events told in the expansion allow you to experience the story from a different perspective, as well as to learn about White's motivations. The protagonist of the expansion is presented not only as a trained soldier but also as a loving husband. We get to know him from a more private side and it is easier to understand everything he has done.

Mechanics

Dead Island: Ryder White provides a few hours of gameplay, as well as new weapons and two projects needed to create one. The gameplay itself doesn't differ from the full version of Dead Island. Most of the time we fight with zombies, which is helped by an increasingly sophisticated arsenal of weapons used primarily in direct clashes. Each tool is characterized by different statistics, which is worth paying attention to before a possible fight with an enemy. In the meantime, we perform various tasks, moving around the open world and exploring the attractions offered by the tropical island of Banoi.

Technical aspects

The graphics have remained unchanged - the game is working on the fifth version of the Chrome Engine. The developers took players to the well-known island which delights with its rich environment and pleasant colors.
