The compilation was published to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Mega Man series. It enables the players to try the above-mentioned games in a refreshed version. The compilation includes an additional gameplay mode and a virtual museum with attractions for fans of the series.

The authors not only improved the graphics, but also decided to restore some of the elements cut out of the original.
