Forever Skies: How does it work on Steam Deck? Forever Skies guide, tips
For many gamers, it may be important to know how a particular production works on Steam Deck, as, for example, they prefer to play on the go. Here you will find information on Forever Skies' compatibility with this portable console.
Last update: 06 July 2023
Nearly every Steam game can be played on Steam Deck, but this does not necessarily mean it has been verified. From this page of the guide, you will learn how it works in the case of Forever Skies.
How does Forever Skies work on Steam Deck?
Forever Skies is not verified for compatibility with Steam Deck. Although there is no information about this on the game card, you can assume that the game on this handheld console is "not supported."
What does it mean exactly? The production can be turned on on Steam Deck, but it does not work well on it right now. We've tested Forever Skies on various graphics settings. The title has problems maintaining a constant FPS rate - there are often sudden drops in fluidity. The lowest settings provide 25 FPS, possibly 30.
Forever Skies on Steam Deck on high and epic details is practically unplayable, as you can expect 10 or 15 frames per second at most. And these values refer to the initial location - in the more demanding Underdust, the rate is probably even worse.
The problem can also be very small subtitles and interface icons that are not enlarged on Steam Deck.
Developers have revealed that they would like Forever Skies to run smoothly on this portable console. If the game is verified for Steam Deck, we should receive official information from the developers.
Steam Deck compatibility
Games on Steam can have one of three Steam Deck compatibility statuses:
- Unsupported - part or all of the game is not functional on the device;
- Playable - the game is functional but will likely require some manual configuration to run well. The production may not display all icons and have unreadable text;
- Verified - the title is fully functional on Steam Deck, and there should be no problems with optimization.
Hopefully, Forever Skies will be "verified" or "playable" soon, making playing on the Steam Deck more enjoyable.
