Your Airship in Forever Skies needs to be equipped with the necessary equipment for producing new items. On this page of the guide you will find a list of them with descriptions.

What devices can you have on the ship in Forever Skies? On this page of the guide, we have presented all the devices you should equip your Airship with to make it practical, and that will allow you to craft all the items you need.

Virus Sample Analyzer

You'll need the Analyzer in the late game of Forever Skies - Forever Skies: Recommended Airship equipment - Basics - Forever Skies Guide

You'll need the Analyzer in the late game of Forever Skies. This device allows you to unlock new viruses, including:

  1. Vertigo Virus;
  2. Photophobia Virus.

After inserting a suitable object into the Analyzer (e.g. Dusty Daisy) you will need to complete a minigame to obtain a virus blueprint. Your task is to eliminate all other viruses - you have to select the appropriate options three times so that at the end there is only one virus that looks like the one shown on the top of the screen.

Fabricator

The most important device in Forever Skies is the Fabricator - it allows you to craft many items, including resources. You have access to it at the beginning of the game - you have to pick it up from the desk in the starting location.

You can craft the Fabricator after researching it at the Research Station. It doesn't require batteries.

The Docking Plank is a useful device that will let you reach locations without needing to fly up close to them. It will become very relevant later on, when your ship becomes too large to approach most places of interest.

  1. You'll find the broken Docking Plank at the High Point - approach it and scan it.
  2. Afterwards, you must research it at the Research Station and craft it in the Fabricator.

Once you have the device, place it outside the Airship - preferably on the footbridge.

Tool Charger

Thanks to this device, you can charge some items including:

  1. Scanner;
  2. Paint Tool.

The base version of the charger requires a Solid State Battery to work. If you need it when one of your devices runs out - and this will be indicated by a red icon - then click on the charger and move the device from the inventory to the appropriate slot.

To be able to craft a Tool Charger, you first need to find it in the Radio Tower and scan it. This device needs to be placed on the wall of the Airship.

Upgraded Tool Charger

The Upgraded Tool Charger allows you to charge devices powered by Energy Crystals, such as the Extractor. Requires a Crystal Battery to work.

To unlock the Upgraded Tool Charger, you must:

  1. go to the Underdust using an elevator;
  2. find an Energy Crystal and collect or scan it;
  3. unlock its blueprint at the Research Station;
  4. craft it in the Fabricator.

This device works just like the basic charger, so you need to place it on the wall of the Airship.

Insect Catcher

You have access to the Insect Catcher at the beginning of the game - it is immediately on the Airship - Forever Skies: Recommended Airship equipment - Basics - Forever Skies Guide

You have access to the Insect Catcher at the beginning of the game - it is immediately on the Airship. It allows you to obtain food items from Underdust, such as:

  1. Dust Lettuce;
  2. Dust Moth.

The base version of the Insect Catcher requires a Simple Insect Lure or an Advanced Insect Lure to work. The latter may attract better prey, such as Fat Dust Moths.

The Insect Catcher must be placed on the bridge outside the Airship. Hold down the appropriate button to lower it and wait for the prey to be caught. Then you have to pick it up manually.

This device can be crafted in the Fabricator .

Automated Insect Catcher

An Insect Catcher equipped with an automated mechanism. This means you don't have to approach it and hold down the button each time a prey is caught.

To unlock the Automated Insect Catcher, you need:

  1. go to the Greenhouse. Remember that you will need a minimum of two turbines installed on your Airship to get there;
  2. find a broken version of the Upgrade Station and scan it;
  3. research the device and craft it in the Fabricator;
  4. place an Upgrade Station on a ship and craft an Automated Insect Catcher.

This device requires a Insect Lure or an Advanced Insect Lure to work. The Automated Insect Catcher must be placed on the bridge outside the Airship.

Water Condenser

Thanks to this device, you will have access to clean water that is safe to drink and fills the hydration bar. The Water Condenser can be crafted in the Fabricator from the very beginning of the game.

  1. First, take Dirty Water into a plastic bottle - you will collect this liquid, among others, in the Greenhouse or using the Water Purifier.
  2. Pour Dirty Water into the Water Condenser, and after a while, you will be able to get clean water into the bottle.

The Water Condenser must be placed on the wall of the Airship.

  1. Radio Towers - red color;
  2. Wind Farms - blue color;
  3. Gardens - green color;
  4. Underdust - purple color;
  5. undiscovered locations - question mark;
  6. objectives - exclamation mark.

To create a Locating Radar in the Fabricator, you need to find a broken version of this device in the first Wind Farm you visit in the game and scan it. The Radar can only be placed on the wall of the Airship.

Recycler

  1. You'll find a destroyed recycler at the High Point - scan it.

Once that's done, research it at the Research Station and craft it in the Fabricator.

You must hang the Recycler on the Airship's ceiling. It runs on a single Solid State Battery. The device cannot recycle resources (such as synthetic parts or metals), only craftable items (such as the scanner, fuel, bolts).

The Research Station is used to conduct research on new devices. Thanks to this, new blueprints are unlocked in the Fabricator.

The device cannot be crafted - it must be collected in the starting location and placed inside the Airship. The Research Station is powered by a Solid State Battery.

Thanks to the Workstation, you can create furniture for the Airship, such as:

  1. Storage Racks;
  2. Wall Shelves;
  3. Desks;
  4. Wall Lamps;
  5. Tables.

To unlock it, you need to go to the Crash Site (it's a kind of Wind Farm), find a broken Workstation, and scan it. After that, use the Fabricator to create a device and place it inside the Airship.

New furniture blueprints that are used in the Workstation can be found by exploring the world and collecting Tabs.

Upgrade Station

To unlock this Station, you must:

  1. go to the Greenhouse - for this you will need at least two turbines installed on the Airship.
  2. find a broken Upgrade Station and scan it;
  3. examine the device at the Research Station;
  4. craft the device in the Fabricator and place it on the Airship.

The Upgrade Station does not require batteries to power it.

Rainwater Collector

The Rainwater Collector is another device that will give you easy access to Dirty Water. It gets it from the rain, so make sure it's not covered by anything (for example, the Airship balloon).

  1. Researching this item's blueprint will become possible after collecting or scanning copper - which is easy to find on Wind Farms.
  2. Once you unlock the Rainwater Collector blueprint in the Research Station, you'll be able to craft it in the Fabricator.

This item must be placed outside the Airship, on the bridge.
