Hard-to-reach metal barricades often hide additional supplies. The portable Extractor will allow you to reach the stashes and search the entire location. On this page you will learn what you need to craft an Extractor and how to do it.
Where to find Energy Crystals?
Energy crystals are needed to construct an Extractor and to charge it in the upgraded charger. The only place where Energy Crystals are found is in Underdust. At this type of station, you can use a special elevator to get below the surface of the floating dust.
After using the elevator, you will reach the location Underdust. There you will discover naturally occurring Energy Crystals as you walk on the surface of the planet. To collect them, just approach them and press the E key on the keyboard.
Most of the crystals are hidden in the location, so before leaving the area, it's worth checking all the nooks and crannies to collect a considerable supply. Crystals will also be useful for recharging tools later.
Crafting Extractor
Before you create an Extractor, you first need to make a blueprint of it . To unlock the Extractor blueprint, scan Circuit Boards you can find in Wind Farms . After that, you will unlock the blueprint that will appear in Research Station. Materials needed for the blueprint:
- x1 Energy Crystal
- x2 Plastic Scrap
After discovering the blueprint, you can proceed to craft the real version using Fabricator. In the tools tab, you will find the Extractor. Materials required for crafting:
- x1 Transformer
- x2 Polymer
- x1 Crystal Battery
All the materials you need can be found in Underdust.
