Last update: 01 October 2019
Cross is a very often used move that is performed from the side to the middle of enemy penalty box. With such move, you can create a dangerous situation, so it is recommended to use it during every match - especially when you have high strikers. This chapter lists all crosses that can be performed in FIFA 20.
Classic top cross
Classic top cross is often the simplest and most effective way to place the ball in the enemy's penalty box. When performing a top cross, use adequate strength so that the ball lands at your player in the penalty box, which will enable him to perform a head or another spectacular shot, such as an overhead kick. Before performing such an action, make sure first that one of the players had run into the penalty area and has the opportunity to strike. To perform a classic top cross, press the cross button and choose the direction in which you want to send the ball.
Low cross
Another type of the cross which can open up an opportunity to score e.g. by a volley. Due to the fact that the low cross is performed directly over the field, the high density in the penalty area greatly reduces the chances that the ball will reach the recipient. To perform this move, double-press the cross button and select the desired direction.
Ground cross
A ground cross becomes useful when you are in progress of a counter and when sending a fast, dynamic ground pass increases the chances of scoring a goal by a player running into the penalty box who will perform a shot instantly once he gets the ball. Aggressive and powerful cross to the penalty box causes a lot of commotion which can end in a own goal. To perform this move, you must press the cross button three times and choose the right direction.
