Greenhouse Farm Expert 2017 Guide
Last update: 11 January 2017
Greenhouse crops, although more expensive, can be very profitable. First, you need a glasshouse - that's about 100,000 euro, plus hardware - platform cart and vegetable harvesting platform - another 40,000 euro. That's already a lot, and then there are the vegetable sowing machines, which maybe not so very expensive, but still will cost a couple thousand euro.
Vegetation takes about three months in case of tomatoes and cucumbers; raising pepper is a matter of some additional weeks. You also should think about pesticides - despite the good conditions, there's a risk of fungi spreading, which is not cool - sometimes, your whole crop will be lost, so don't underestimate this.
Each of the glasshouses can house 270 seedlings of a given vegetable. Harvesting them isn't very demanding - you need a vegetable-collection platform (hauled by an electric cart) and six workers. Drive slowly and steadily to make sure you collect everything.
Don't mix vegetables in the crates! If you're left with half a crate of tomatoes, so be it, that must have been written in the cards. Sell it.
Note that glasshouse crops are the most profitable in the game. The limited amount of them (6 houses tops - 270 seeds each) compensates the great profit you can make. In each glasshouse, there are nine rows with thirty seeds each. Depending on the season, you can collect from five to nine crates from each row. This gives from 22 to 40 crates per glasshouse.
This means that for tomatoes and cucumbers, you can get from 35,000 to 65,000 euro, and for pepper from 40,000 to 75,000 per glasshouse. This means that during one cycle, you can get from 200,000 to even 450,000 euro. Not a single other crop can guarantee as much income - if you have the opportunity, invest in the glasshouse division of your company.
