The halo is a part of every Formula 1 car and thus is also present in F1 22. Our guide explains whether it's possible to remove the halo to improve visibility during the race.
The halo and its effect on visibility
The halo can be problematic if you're viewing the game from inside the cockpit. Its design means a vertical column is in the middle of your screen the whole time, limiting the visibility ahead. This can cause some discomfort, especially when following other cars or noticing turns in the road.
Can you remove the halo?
The halo cannot be removed completely, due to it being an integral part of every car required to provide increased protection for the driver.
Only the halo column can be hidden. You can only do so while driving. You must pause the game, select Settings, then Camera Customization. Find the Halo Column on the list and turn it off.
When you resume the game, the halo column will be gone, giving you much more visibility. The upper parts of the halo remain on the screen, but they aren't as obstructive as the column.
