Chapter 4 - Main missions in Extinction Extinction Guide & Walkthrough

In this part of the game guide, you will find information on all the Main and Secondary Objectives available in the fourth chapter of Extinction. This chapter is divided into four 6 missions, and apart from 6 main objectives, you can receive 12 medals for completing side objectives. All the available missions were described in separate sections.

On the Hunt

Main Objectives

1. Save 20 civilians.

Available Secondary Objectives (random)

1. Defeat a specific number of Jackals.
2. Destroy a given number of pieces of armor.
3. Defend the city.
4. Time challenge.
5. Do not die.
6. Defeat a given number of Ravenii.
7. Defeat Ravenii in a specific way (e.g. execution without legs, execution in a standing position).

Your Main Objectives is to save 20 civilians. Nothing unexpected will happen, so use the same strategy (defeat some Jackals and activate the portal). It's possible that enemies will appear while you are saving the civilians. If that happens, deal with the Jackals and continue to save civilians.

Death from Above

Main Objectives

Save 16 civilians.

Secondary Objectives

1. Kill 20 Vultures.
2. Complete the mission with over 70% of the city untouched.
3. Complete the mission without dying.

Your Main Objectives is to save 16 civilians. They are located near portals, situated on rocks. Thus, prepare to jump your way through the mission. If you want to get all the medals, you will need to watch out when performing jumps, because if you fall on thorns, you will die instantly.

Furthermore, you will meet Vultures, a new type of enemies for the first time. Apart from Ravenii, the only enemies that can attack civilians are located on the roofs. It's best to use the regular approach - fight first, and save civilians by the crystals later.

Listening in

Main Objectives

1. Kill 4 Ravenii.

Available Secondary Objectives (random)

1. Defeat a specific number of Jackals.
2. Destroy a given number of pieces of armor.
3. Save civilians.
4. Time challenge.
5. Do not die.
6. Defend the city.
7. Defeat Ravenii in a specific way (e.g. execution without legs, execution in a standing position).

You will have several dozen seconds before the first Ravenii appears. Use this time to charge your "kill strike" by saving civilians, or begin your side mission if it is related to e.g. killing Jackals.

To complete the Main Objectives, you will need to slay 4 Ravenii and prevent them from destroying the city. Up to two Ravenii will appear on the map at the same time.

Lighting the Way

Main Objectives

1. Defend watchtowers for 6 minutes.

Available Secondary Objectives (random)

1. Defeat a specific number of Jackals.
2. Destroy a given number of pieces of armor.
3. Save civilians.
4. Time challenge.
5. Do not die.
6. Defeat a specific number of Ravenii.
7. Defeat Ravenii in a specific way (e.g. execution without legs, execution in a standing position).

Your Main Objectives is to defend watchtowers from Ravenii. As soon as the mission begins, focus on charging your "kill strike" by e.g. saving civilians. You want to take out the first Ravenii as quickly as possible.

Before the next creature appears, you can charge your force by saving civilians or killing Jackals. If your side mission is not related to killing Ravenii, you can try to keep the monsters away from the city. However, two creatures will have to appear close to one another.

If that happens, destroy their leg armor and start cutting off their legs in turns. Immobilized creatures will have no chance to reach the city. Unfortunately, this solution is only available if both Ravenii appear close to one another.

Bloodlust

Main Objectives

1. Defend civilians against Elite Jackals.

Secondary Objectives

1. Kill 6 Elite Jackals.
2. Complete the objective without dying.
3. Complete the objective in less than 6 minutes.

In this mission, you will face Elite Jackals for the first time. To complete the mission successfully, you will have to defend at least 25 civilians from these creatures. All you need to do is activate 4 large portals on the map.

Furthermore, killing Elite Jackals is connected to your side mission - eliminate 6 Elite Jackals that appear near portals with civilians. Check the dedicated chapter to find out how to effectively fight these monsters. Due to their powerful strikes, you will need to watch out for your health (you cannot die if you want to get all the additional medals).

Checkmate

Main Objectives

1. Save 30 city dwellers.

Secondary Objectives

1. Kill15 Vultures.
2. Kill 2 Ravenii.
3. Complete the objective in less than 8 minutes.

As soon as the mission starts, focus on saving the city dwellers. The first Ravenii will appear about 1.5 minutes after the objective begins, so you should have plenty of time to save at least 10 civilians and defeat several Vultures.

Complete these objectives and your "kill strike" meter should be full. This will allow you perform the execution right away. You should have enough time to save more civilians before the second Ravenii arrives. Many teleports are located on the rooftops and rocks, so you will have plenty opportunities to face Vultures and defeat them.
