Chapter 2 - Main missions in Extinction Extinction Guide & Walkthrough

In this part of the game guide, you will find information on all the main and Secondary Objectives available in the second chapter of Extinction. This chapter is divided into four 4 missions, and apart from 4 main objectives, you can receive 10 medals for completing side objectives. All the available missions were described in separate sections.

Infestation

Main Objectives

1. Save 18 civilians.

Secondary Objectives

1. Defeat 25 Jackals.
2. Complete the objective in less than 5 minutes.
3. Complete the mission without dying.

In this mission, your main objective is to save 18 civilians. The teleports will be located on your path, so you won't get lost on this map. All you have to do is move forward and slay all the monsters that you come across.

If you get attacked on your way to any of the teleports, you don't have to worry about civilians - Jackals by the crystals will appear only when you get close enough.

For the first time, you will also encounter a large teleport. The process of saving civilians will take more time than in case of smaller teleports. Once you reach the crystal, make sure to deal with all the Jackals and only then save the civilians.

If you want to complete the side mission as well, you should give up saving civilians at the second large portal, because as soon as you finish your main objective, the mission will end and you won't encounter enough Jackals till then.

Thus, approach the next portal, defeat a large group of enemies and once you complete your side objective finish saving the remaining civilians and end the mission.

Taking Stock

Main Objectives

1. Defeat 4 Ravenii.

Available Secondary Objectives (random)

1. Defeat a specific number of Jackals.
2. Destroy a given number of pieces of armor.
3. Save civilians.
4. Time challenge.
5. Do not die.
6. Defend the city.
7. Defeat Ravenii in a specific way (e.g. execution without legs, execution in a standing position).

Executing one of the Ravenii.

Your main objective is to defeat 4 Ravenii. In order to successfully complete the mission, you will need to slay all 4 monsters before they destroy the city.

A dozen or so seconds will pass before the first Ravenii appears, so use this time to save some civilians and charge your "kill strike" meter. It's best to hurry up with the execution because two more Ravenii will appear on the map at the same time.

The mission will end once you defeat all four monsters.

All That Glitters

Main Objectives

1. Defeat Ravenii with Gold Armor.

Secondary Objectives

1. Kill Ravenii with two amputated limbs.
2. Destroy 6 pieces of armor.
3. Complete the objective in less than 4 minutes.

Gold Armor Ravenii.

Your Main Objectives is to defeat a Ravenii equipped with Gold Armor. Secondary Objectives are strictly related to this specific fight, so there is no point in saving citizens on your way (if you want to obtain all the medals, you will be especially low on time).

Destroying all 6 elements of armor will be enough to fully charge your "kill strike" meter. As soon as the mission begins, run forward because the first Ravenii will appear behind the first city gate. Focus on destroying the leg armor first.

Then, aim for the armor on shoulders as these elements are the easiest to reach (no padlocks). The last two elements are mandatory - they protect the creature's head. Once you deal with all 6 pieces get down to the ground. Try to cut off both legs, one by one, and climb up the monster's back.

If you manage to execute the creature and complete all other objectives in less than 4 minutes, you will receive all the available medals.

Defensive Maneuvers

Main Objectives

1. Defend the watchtowers.

Secondary Objectives

1. Save 25 civilians.
2. Defeat 6 Ravenii.
3. Complete the mission with at least 2 watchtowers.

Don't let the Ravenii get too close to the watchtowers.

Your main objective is to defend watchtowers for 8 minutes - that's when the town will be attacked by Ravenii. From the very beginning try to save as many civilians as possible and fully charge your "kill strike" meter.

The first Ravenii has an indestructible armor, so make sure that you are ready to face it. Use the whip to climb up the colossus and execute the beast.

On your way to the second Ravenii, save more civilians to boost the level of your "kill strike" and complete a side mission. Keeping your "kill strike" charged is crucial if you want to slay all 6 Ravenii within this time limit.

Besides, the sooner you defeat the creatures, the better for the watchtowers. In order to complete only the Main Objectives, it's enough to protect one watchtower.
