Chapter 1 - Main missions in Extinction Extinction Guide & Walkthrough

In this part of the game guide, you will find information on all the Main and Secondary Objectives available in the first chapter of Extinction. This chapter is divided into four 4 missions, and apart from 4 main objectives, you can receive 12 medals for completing side objectives. All the available missions were described in the following section.

Enemy at the Gates

Main Objectives

1. Save 15 civilians.

Secondary Objectives

1. Defeat 6 Jackals.
2. Save the civilian on the roof.
3. Complete the objective in less than 5 minutes.

In order to complete the Main Objectives, you will have to save 15 civilians located by the teleports. It's very easy to locate them. First of all your minimap shows you their location (marked with blue markers), and besides the teleporting crystals gleam, which makes it easier to spot them from afar. Once you reach your target, press and hold down the button used to save civilians. Save the civilian and head towards the next teleport.

Jackals will often appear near crystals you are moving towards. It's best to deal with the creatures first, and only then save civilians. Enemy presence only slows down the process of saving people, and your civilians may get killed in the meantime.

In order to obtain all the medals, you will also need to defeat 6 Jackals. You can easily achieve this by moving between teleports - that's where your opponents will appear. The second side mission is saving the civilian on the roof.

One of them is located on the right of the second crystal. If you manage to move between crystals effectively, you should have no problems with completing the objective in less than 5 minutes.

Titans Wrath

Main Objectives

1. Kill Ravenii.

Secondary Objectives

1. Destroy two pieces of armor.
2. Kill 8 Jackals.
3. Complete the mission in less than 7 minutes.

In this mission, your main objective is to defeat Ravenii (the fight was described in a dedicated chapter). In order to accomplish that, you will need to charge the "Kill Strike" meter first. To do that, you should save the civilians in the main courtyard as quickly as possible.

While you are at it, you should also slay Jackals attacking the dwellers to obtain a medal for one of the Secondary Objectives. The Ravenii will appear only when the "Kill strike" meter is full.

Once you get close to the enemy, focus on destroying pieces of wooden armor on the creature's legs. Now climb up its back and execute the Ravenii.

The Iron Giant

Main Objectives

1. Kill Ravenii with Iron Armor.

Secondary Objectives

1. Destroy 4 pieces of armor.
2. Kill the Ravenii standing on two legs.
3. Complete the mission in less than 6 minutes.

In this mission, all the objectives will be related to killing the Ravenii, and thus you don't have to focus too much on saving the civilians or fighting minor enemies. The Ravenii will appear as soon as the gameplay starts, so you need to head towards the indicator immediately.

If on your way you come across a teleport, you can save civilians to increase the "kill strike" meter and get some additional points. Once you reach your destination, you will face a Ravenii equipped with Iron Armor.

It's best to complete the side mission first, especially when you charge the "kill strike" meter by destroying the armor. Destroy the padlocks on the creature's leg armor.

One should also cut off one of its legs to facilitate the process of climbing up the beast's back. When you get to the top, you should destroy one spaulder and the helmet. In this case, you will need to jump over the monster's head, turn around and break the padlock located at the creature's eye level.

At this point, you will complete your side mission and have the "kill strike" meter fully charged. All you have to do is climb up the monster's back again, wait for it to stand up and execute the Ravenii.

Royal Proposition

Main Objectives

1. Defend the city.

Secondary Objectives

1. Save 16 civilians.
2. At least 30% of the city must remain untouched.
3. Complete the mission in less than 8 minutes.

These are the watchtowers that you will need to defend.

This time, your main objective is to protect the city against Ravenii. You cannot allow the monster to destroy the entire town, and if you want to complete the side mission, over 30% of the city needs to remain untouched.

You will face three opponents of the same type. The first Ravenii will appear right after the objective begins. On your way to the creature, you will have an option to save some civilians to charge your "kill strike" and begin one of the Secondary Objectives.

As soon as you defeat the first Ravenii, the second one will appear on the other side of the city. You need to get there as soon as possible and waste no time to slay the creature.

You really need to hurry up, or you will end up with two giants demolishing the city at the same time. Moving from one target to another, try to save as many civilians as possible - you want to get the "kill strike" meter charged as much as possible before you get to the Ravenii. Now all you need to do is smash its leg armor, climb up its back and execute the creature.
