After five years, fans of the Warhammer universe can finally return to the battlefields of the Far North, where each nation wants to reach the imprisoned Ursun of the faction Kislev. According to the series' golden formula, we have two main gameplay modes: running the empire and developing it in a turn-based system, and then waging battles in real time. It's worth emphasizing the exceptional scale of such clashes, as thousands of units can take part in the battles at the same time.
Total War: Warhammer 3 is certainly not a game for everyone, but fans of the universe and the strategy genre appreciated the expanded possibilities and improvements to the existing formula. The Warhammer's unique atmosphere pouring out of the screen is also important. A few shortcomings only concern the graphics and some technical issues. All in all, this is the crowning achievement of the trilogy and perhaps the most playable game in this entire franchise.
Relative to its predecessor, the third game is a significant step forward, and one can only regret that improvements in the game engine itself, which is already starting to be outdated, did not follow.
As I mentioned earlier, the final assessment of this production depends primarily on whether you have had a longer break from this series, or whether you check each subsequent installment on a regular basis. In the first case, the number of changes, novelties and fixes in many game systems will positively surprise you. Total War: Warhammer 3 is a worthy conclusion to the trilogy licensed by Games Workshop.
Total War: Warhammer 3 is the crowning achievement of the trilogy, and a game that will likely stay with us for years to come. It’s certainly not the end of the franchise, and even if it is the last entry in the sub-series, the conclusion couldn’t have been better.
