Monster Train

  1. Genre: strategy game with card and roguelike elements
  2. Developer: Shiny Shoe
  3. Platforms: PC

Highway To Hell! Or rather, the train tracks "to Hell" - because in Monster Train we rush ahead on board a demonic train, which is the site of a battle between the evil forces of Heaven and the "poor" monsters from hell. The game - somewhat similar to Slay the Spirefeatures turn-based battles on a layered battlefield, using characters and attacks drawn from a deck of cards.

Of course, the longer the game, the more options you have. Strategies vary depending on the clan of our demons, card upgrades, and random events. The game is also influenced by the choice of the train route, which players observe from above. Instead of the popular pixel-art, Monster Train offers nice, hand-drawn backgrounds and characters for a change. Aficionados of this type of gameplay will find the syndrome of "one more round" (or rather one more hand), and if they want more, they have a multiplayer mode for eight players.
