Thanos wouldn't be thrilled...

"Power Glove" sounds like an item from an RPG, and it was one of the weirdest controllers ever made. The Power Glove is the fruit of Nintendo's quirky creativity released in 1989. Its life, however, did not last, and the production was cancelled after just a year. Why? Well, the Power Glove was just pretty much hopeless. There were basically two problems with the Power Glove: a very small number of compatible games and very awkward controls.

Of course, it wasn't like the Power Glove came out without any games to play with it. The controller was theoretically – and the adjective is crucial – suitable for every game released on the NES. But then there only two games officially developed with the Power Glove in mind: Super Glove Ball and Bad Street Brawler.

The Power Glove was supposed to read the player's movements, but it did not perform admirably. The device was imprecise and was more conductive to frustration than fun. Most of all, the buttons that corresponded to the original NES controller were inconveniently placed.
