Katana The Soul – PlayStation 2
This is definitely something for fans of Japanese culture, and certainly for people interested in the military. Katana The Soul is a controller that, similarly to the chainsaw, was more of a collector's item than a device that could actually functional in-game. One look at the layout of the buttons is enough to become convinced that committing a seppuku with the plastic toy would be more fun than using it to play any video games.
Though you can find video materials from a player on YouTube who managed to configure this controller to work in Ghost of Tsushima – see for yourself. As for the circumstances of Katana The Soul's release, it hit the market with the release of Onimusha 3 in 2004.
