This page focuses on the conversion of Spice into the currency, the so-called Solari, in Dune Spice Wars . You will read on how to convert a Spice into Solari, how to regulate the Imperial Tax, and how to sell it in other ways.
Spice - management
By using the slider in the upper left corner, you manage the extraction of the Spice. The more purple the position on the slider is, the more you save. The more yellow it is, the more it goes to KHOAM and is exchanged for Solari. The button to the right of the bar indicates Spice Report . You will see in it:
- Current exchange rate,
- Exchange rate in the upcoming period,
- The amount of Spice you save by the end of the period,
- The amount of spice you need to pay the Duty / Tax (depending on the faction) for the Empire. By manipulating the bar on a regular basis with the Report window open, you can set a limit amount so that you may easily pay the tax and get the most out of the exchange.
The amount of the exchange is influenced by many factors, such as specific research, but also the Landsraad Standing .
Trading Spice
Sometimes stocking up a large amount of spice is more effective than selling it to KHOAM. This is illustrated by the example above: when trading with another faction, I get 530 Solari for 230 Spice, where in the case of KHOAM (excluding the time needed to convert the resource into currency) it would be approx. 420 Solari. Moreover, the transaction like this is instantaneous.
