In this section of our game guide you can find out how to successfully slay the leader of enemy faction in Dune Spice Wars by using the assassination feature. You will learn what conditions must be met, how to prepare a mission and how much it costs.
Preparation of assassination - requirements and costs
To prepare the Assassination, open the agents window and check the available missions at the bottom of the list. You can prepare operations against any of the factions. The actual assassination becomes available only after it is prepared by successfully completing the mission twice. The initial requirements for preparing an assassination are:
- Infiltration level 2 of each organization and selected faction. This requires you to do a lot of research from the blue tree to unlock the agent allocation slots. So it will also be important to have many of them, which disqualifies the possibility of making an assassination in the early stages of the game.
- 1k Solari and 500 Intel.
These requirements only apply to the first two preparatory missions. It's worth knowing the final stage requirements to find out if you can afford the final operation. Requirements of the final stage of assassination:
- Infiltration level 2 of any organization, but level 3 of Arrakis Infiltration and faction spying.
- 5k Solari and 1k Data.
Due to the high costs only a few people will decide to perform the assassination. Smugglers are the best faction to do this.
Mission settings and complications
The costs and requirements mentioned earlier are not everything. When you start a mission, you will be given 3 options affecting the mission with information about the consequences of each choice. In each case, you must devote the appropriate amount of different resources. Also, almost always at least one of your agents will be intercepted, especially if the enemy has strong Counterintelligence. Keep this in mind, as such limitations may cause you to fail to prepare all stages of assassination before the end of the game. The safest option to prepare an operation is 1k Solari and 100 Manpower, because it does not increase the chance of intercepting Agents - it is worth having these resources in reserve. The worst situation may arise when you run out of Agents to continue the next phases of the Assassination.
