This page describes Fuel Cells - one of the resources available in Dune Spice Wars. You'll learn how to produce them and what to use them for.
Fuel Cells are produced in Fuel Cell Factories and receive a 50% bonus if there's Geothermal Energy in the region. They're used to maintain some military structures such as airfields, batteries, ornithopters, but also refineries. You can treat Fuel Cells like power plants - you need just enough to meet the demand. You must have enough Fuel Cells to build structures requiring them.
The Fremen faction doesn't use this resource and therefore they don't need to produce them.
You can increase your Fuel Cells production even further via Research: Energy Markets. Usually though, you shouldn't have many issues obtaining this resource.
The consequences of a Fuel Cell deficit are:
- -50% speed for units using Fuel Cells (mainly flying units),
- -50% Spice gathering rate
- -50% power for units using Fuel Cells
- -50% Recon speed of Points of Interests (PoIs).
If you run out of Fuel Cells you can get rid of unnecessary Ornithopters or currently unused military structures, or quickly build another Factory.
