Terrorists | Weapon list in CS GO CS GO Guide and Tips
Last update: 30 January 2018
Below you will find the description of the Terrorist arsenal, divided into several categories. Each individual description contains the most crucial information about a given weapon, information which could prove very useful on the battlefield.
Pistols
Image | Description |
Glock-18 It holds 20 bullets in its clip, has a semi-automatic mode of fire, and deals the following amount of damage: 118 damage in the case of a headshot if the enemy has no helmet (on a short and medium distance) and 55 damage if the enemy has a helmet. The Glock-18 has low recoil when fired continually, so it is best to find the golden mean and fire consecutive shots after a short time interval, in order to control the firearm. Due to very low armor penetration, you should always try to hit the enemy's head to maximize the damage output.
P250 A brilliant sidearm, which costs only 300$. It will allow you to kill an enemy with a single headshot on short and medium distances, regardless of whether he has a helmet or not. Due to its higher damage, but lower accuracy than in the case of the Glock or the USP-S, the P250 is most effective when used on medium and short distances. The pistol has some bullet spread, so it is best to fire in short bursts of 4-5 bullets. The P250 is a great alternative to the starting pistols and is a good choice for eco rounds.
Tec-9 A pistol with a high rate of fire, capable of dispatching an armored opponent with a single shot on short distances. Unfortunately, the Tec-9 has much higher recoil than its Counter-Terrorist rival - the Five-Seven, so be sure to fire in short bursts in order to maximize effectiveness.
CZ75-Auto A unique, fully automatic pistol. It deals more damage than the Glock or the USP-S and can kill an enemy with a single headshot regardless of whether he is armored or not. The CZ75-Auto is a brilliant weapon in close quarters. Regrettably, it holds very few bullets in its magazine, has low accuracy and high recoil, making it an ineffective weapon on longer distances.
Dual Berettas Alas, the Dual Berettas do not deal substantial amounts of damage, so you will need two accurate headshots in order to dispatch an armored opponent. All in all, the game has much better sidearms on offer, and the Dual Berettas are not worth their price.
Desert Eagle For a price of 700$, you get a pistol that is deadly on all distances. The Desert Eagle deals the most damage out of all of the available sidearms. Thanks to its firepower, you will only need a single shot to the head or two shots to the torso to deal with an armored opponent, even if he is far away from your current position. Unfortunately, the weapon only holds 7 bullets in its magazine and high recoil makes it a difficult firearm to control. You will not be able to control the gun after consecutive shots, it is best to focus on firing single bullets. |
Rifles
Image | Description |
Galil AR An inexpensive rifle, which does solid damage and can kill an enemy with a single headshot provided he does not have a helmet. The Galil AR has 35 bullets in its clip and its accuracy leaves much to be desired, so it is best to fire in short bursts. The Galil AR is most effective on short and medium distances. The damage you inflict decreases as the distance to your target increases, but you will still be able to kill an armored opponent with two shots - one to the head and one to the chest.
AK-47 An extremely deadly weapon on all distances, The AK-47 is cheaper than the M4A4 and it also deals more damage. This weapon will allow you to kill any opponent with one headshot, regardless of whether he has a helmet or not. The AK-47 has 30 bullets in its magazine and it is hard to control its recoil, you will need a lot of practice to use this weapon effectively. The first bullet will go directly forward, but after that the complexity of the spread increases and the gun needs to be precisely controlled. Remember, that crouching will help you with being more accurate.
If you are playing on the side of the Counter-Terrorists and you spot an AK-47, pick it up and start using it, or give it to an ally of yours, since it is a better rifle than the M4A4.
SG 553 A rifle equipped with a scope, it has a 100% armor penetration modifier, which means that a single headshot will kill an opponent, even if he has a helmet. The SG 553 is quite accurate and has a manageable recoil and additionally, it has a useable scope, which could be quite useful for new players, especially when engaging a foe at a large distance. The SSG 553 is a viable alternative for anyone who has a tough time with mastering the AK-47.
G3SG1 A fully automatic sniper rifle, equipped with a dual optical zoom. The G3SG1 has exactly the same parameters as the SCAR-20, which you can purchase as a Counter-Terrorist. The G3SG1 is a very expensive weapon, it costs a whopping 5000$, and is also quite heavy, making it more difficult to move around on the battlefield.
SSG08 For a quite small amount of cash, you can acquire a neat sniper rifle, which deals quite substantial damage and allows for very swift movement. As is the case with any true sniper rifle, the SSG 08 has a scope that you can use to zoom in on your target. Interestingly, you can still move at full speed when looking through your scope.
AWP The AWP is the most powerful sniper rifle in the game, it has a dual optical zoom and incredible accuracy. Its great power will allow you to kill an opponent with a single, precise shot, even from the most extreme of distances. Moreover, the bullets have such amazing penetration, that the enemy is never truly safe, even when taking cover behind doors or other obstacles. Some of the drawbacks of this rifle are its price, weight, and effectiveness in close quarters or against multiple enemies. The AWP has 10 bullets in its magazine and is a bolt-action rifle, this means that your character has to load each round from the magazine into the gun's chamber, which increases the time between individual shots.
Taking into consideration that the AWP is not the best weapon when faced with close quarter combat situations, you should always consider acquiring an additional sidearm, such as the P250 or the Five-seven. |
SMGs
Image | Description |
MAC-10 The cheapest SMG available for the Terrorists, which is unfortunately extremely inaccurate, especially when fired in short bursts of 5-7 bullets. The MAC-10 has a difficult recoil to control, and only the first 3 bullets go more or less straight towards the indicated target. While shooting try to aim at the enemy's head since the MAC-10 has very weak armor penetration. The MAC-10 is most effective when used at short distances.
PP-Bizon Most definitely the worst weapon from the SMG family. The PP-Bizon has very weak armor penetration, making it deal almost insignificant amounts of damage. When you take into account the fact that it costs more than the much more useful UMP-45, it becomes obvious that the PP-Bizon is not a weapon you should ever consider purchasing.
MP7 A weapon with much better accuracy than the MAC-10 and also much better stability when it comes to bullet scatter. This makes the MP7 an effective weapon both on short and medium distances.
UMP-45 Similarly, as in the case of the MP7, the UMP-45 offers good accuracy and stability. Thanks to these qualities, the UMP-45 can be used effectively both on short and medium distances. When you compare both of the aforementioned weapons, the UMP-45 turns out to be 500$ cheaper than the MP7, and it also deals greater damage, making it the better choice for your main firearm.
P90 The P90 is the most expensive of the SMGs. It has a large magazine, a high rate of fire and a low weight, allowing you to move around the battlefield very quickly. Unfortunately, it will only allow you to kill with a single shot if you hit an unarmored opponent in the head. Another flaw of this firearm is the long reload time, which can prove to be fatal in consequences if you are caught in the middle of an open area with not enough ammo in your clip. The P90 works best when used on short and medium distances. It is most effective when fired in one, constant burst, since the recoil of this weapon is very easily controlled. |
Heavy weapons
Image | Description |
Sawed-Off A substantially worse weapon than its Counter-Terrorist rival - the MAG-7. This firearm has a very short range and quite a serious bullet scatter, which makes using the Sawed-Off seem almost impractical unless you are standing right next to your enemy.
Nova A very cheap shotgun with quite a good accuracy on both short and slightly larger distances due to its low bullet spread. Unfortunately, the Nova has a very low rate of fire, which will often give you only once chance at eliminating your opponent. Since the Nova deals less damage than other shotguns, it is recommended to get into the habit of aiming at the enemy's head.
XM1014 The shotgun with the highest rate of fire and capable of inflicting serious damage. Due to its rate of fire and armor penetration, it is the perfect weapon for close quarters combat. Regrettably, the XM1014 is a very expensive weapon for a shotgun, and spending your cash on a more versatile firearm could be the wiser choice.
M249 A weapon with a high rate of fire and an enormous magazine. It allows you to kill a foe with a single headshot. Unfortunately, the M249 is hugely expensive, extremely heavy, reloading the magazine takes an age, and the bullet spread is hard to control.
The Negev The Negev is a much better choice than the M249. It too has a high rate of fire, a sizable clip, high damage, and armor/cover penetration. Interestingly, after firing 15 bullets the weapon does not have any additional recoil, allowing you to fire an extremely accurate burst without taking your finger off of the trigger. Alas, just as in the case of the M249, the Negev is very heavy and the reload time leaves much to be desired. |
