General Hints | Controls CoD: Ghosts Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
At the beginning I have a several hints for you which may be useful during a single player campaign:
- Always use covers. If enemy gets you, you'll probably die. When you choose a cover, look for the one which will protect you fully even if you stand up - when you crouch it may look like enough, but you still may get some accidental shots. Try hard to avoid covers from barriers and with uncovered parts, because enemy may hit you through this.
- Keep grenades to smoke out enemies from behind a cover. Sure, it's better to throw at a group of not-defended enemies and look how they spread out (or they bodies). But it's better to use those grenades to smoke out an enemy which cannot be fired by you. Remember to avoid enemy grenades and throw them out.
- Choose weapons in a way to be ready for everything. If you know that you'll fight in closed rooms, take shotguns, but remember also about guns for other distances, like sniper rifle or machine rifle. When you begin mission with a pistol try to swap it on something else.
- When you can, aim at heads. It makes elimination faster and enemies hit in other parties of body may even fire at you while crawling.
- If you choose Veteran difficulty level, don't play as Rambo. Running into several enemies in open space will surely end up badly. Enemy on Veteran is deadly effective (almost every fire hits) and deals huge damage (one good series and you're dead). What is more, he seems to have eyes around his head, so when you want to flank him, he turns immediately into your direction. So if you want to play for pleasure, leave the Veteran mode.
