Explanation:

The most important thing, which many players forget about - extermination of aliens without ammo is very difficult. The best type of ammo is the explosive, or the FMJ (armor piercing) one

  • Apart from dealing more damage, explosive ammo explodes on impact with the ground or with an alien. It deals damage even if you miss your target. It comes in handy when you do not get the opportunity to take a clear shot or when you are flooded by a wave of small aliens.
  • Full metal jacket ammo is good against the armored enemies like Hunters or Rhinos. It allows you to deal damage even if you miss the armored spot on their body.

An ideal solution is to have on your squad a player who buys explosive ammo and a player with large amounts of FMJ ammo, and using these depending on the situation - explosive ammo against small targets and FMJ ammo whenever a Rhino comes by.
