The Void Breaches are the most challenging haunted locations in Banishers Ghosts of New Eden. They work similarly to Nests, Elite enemies, and Scourges - you must find a Void on the map, perform the Void Traveling ritual, and complete the following encounters, during which you have to deal with special rules that change the course of the fight. You will unlock the Void Breaches after visiting Siridean's island in the Mire Marshes.
All breaches in the game are endless - you can go through them multiple times, gaining many Void Splinters. The exact rules according to which endless Haunted Grounds operate are described on a separate page of the guide.

How to get through Void Breaches?
Unlike other haunted grounds, the Void Breaches are short, linear locations, containing several fights and culminating in a fight with a mini-boss - Sorrow. This fight is identical every time - you have to avoid the boss's projectiles and smaller enemies, while destroying clusters of black tentacles that give the boss a shield that protects it from damage. After destroying the tentacles, the shield will disappear - finish off the boss (taking the form of a black column) with a rifle shot.
Fights in the Void proceed somewhat differently from that in the material world. Antea's attacks are strengthened and deal more damage to specters. Enemies gradually regenerate health, so it's important to eliminate them one by one. Additionally, you may occasionally encounter the ghosts of settlers that you expelled at the end of haunting cases. They take the form of more powerful specters.
For completing Void Breaches, you will receive a significant increase in all stats and a Void Shard, a rare upgrade material. After defeating Sorrow, you must once again perform the Void Traveling ritual to return to the material world. It will take you to a previously inaccessible place on the map, where a chest with a reward is waiting for you. Although this chest looks identical to Lost Chests, the game does not classify it as a collectible, so opening it will not increase your exploration percentage of the region. On this page, we have listed the locations of all Void Breaches in the game, the rules assigned to them, how to beat them and what rewards you will receive for completing them.
The Dark Woods - Void Breach #1
Related map marker: Void Breach #1 (Endless) - Dark Woods @ New Eden
- Location: In a cave in the area west of the hunting camp, behind a stone barrier that can be destroyed with the Outburst skill.
- Rule: More damage dealt by Antea's light attacks and fists.
- Reward: After completing the Breach, you will reach the beach near Red's Sickbed. In the chest you will find Sweeper Rifle.
- Comment: This breach shouldn't be a problem for you - constant use of light attacks will get you to the end. Thanks to Antea's enhanced attacks, you can switch to her, thus avoiding taking damage.
The Dark Woods - Void Breach #2
Related map marker: Void Breach #2 (Endless) - The Dark Woods @ New Eden
- Location: In a cave in the area northeast of the hunting camp, behind a stone barrier that can be destroyed with the Outburst skill.
- Rule: Rifle and Ensnare deal more damage.
- Reward: After completing the Breach, you will enter a cave southeast of the hunting camp. In the chest you will find a Decoction - Veil Shock.
- Comment: The strategy during this Breach is quite simple - fight from a distance. Use Ensnare to immobilize enemies, buying yourself more time to reload your rifle.
The Mire Marshes - Void Breach #1
Related map marker: Void Breach #1 - The Mire Marshes @ New Eden
- Location: North of the Old Marsh Encampment, in the wooden tower behind the Creeping Ivy.
- Rule: Enemies explode when killed.
- Reward: After completing the Breach, you will enter the Dark Woods, near the Windy Cave shelter. In the chest you will find the Star Cluster Rifle.
- Comment: The combat strategy does not differ much from normal fights - you must remember to move away from your opponents or roll at the right moment to avoid damage.
The Mire Marshes - Void Breach #2
Related map marker: Void Breach #2 - Mire Marshes @ New Eden
- Location: In a small cave on the western side of Witch island. To get to the breach, it will be necessary to have the Spectral Webs ability.
- Rule: The Banishing bar fills faster and deals more damage.
- Reward: After completing the breach, you will reach the frosty Mount Pleasant. In the chest you will find an Armband - Heartwood.
- Comment: The best strategy to clear this breach will be to perform quick series of melee attacks to charge the Banishing Move as quickly as possible and deal huge damage. Don't use the rifle - it will be ineffective. If you have Banisher Garment, equip it to increase your Banishing bar bonus even further.
Mount Pleasant - Void Breach #1
Related map marker: Void Breach #1 - Mount Pleasant @ New Eden
- Location: In a cave far west of the Frozen Vales shelter. You will enter inside by climbing the wall near the cursed chest.
- Rule: Increased damage when Antea has low spiritual energy points.
- Reward: After completing the breach, you will reach Siridean island in the Mire Marshes. In the chest you will find Saber & Firebane - Silver Executioner.
- Comment: The rule forces you to switch characters frequently. Try to deplete Antea's spiritual energy as quickly as possible by attacking enemies or receiving damage in her form. Beware of the green ghosts on the rocks, which can be destroyed with a single shot. During the fight with Sorrow, exhaust your spiritual energy on regular enemies and attack the tentacles as soon as your energy drops.
Mount Pleasant - Void Breach #2
Related map marker: Void Breach #2 - Mount Pleasant @ New Eden
- Location: Below the Bligh Manor, at the bottom of the elevator in the basement of the manor. You can get inside by solving the Rumball marriage Haunting Case, which you can start right in front of the manor.
- Rule: Defeated enemies replenish the Decoction. Using Decoctions triggers an area effect that deals damage.
- Reward: After completing the breach, you will return to the Mount Pleasant, near the Manor. Inside you will find a Decoction - Careful Provision.
- Comment: This breach shouldn't cause you much trouble - constantly replenishing Decoctions also means constantly replenishing health. You will also encounter many ranged enemies, who can be killed with a single rifle shot, instantly restoring one of your Decoctions.
The Harrows - Void Breach #1
Related map marker: Void Breach #1 - The Harrows @ New Eden
- Location: South of the Small Cave shelter.
- Rule: Each successful attack increases the damage dealt. The effect resets after receiving damage.
- Reward: After completing the Breach, you will reach the Mire Marshes. In the chest you will find Decoction - Third Eye.
- Comment: During this battle, you will face many agile enemies and green specters fighting from a distance. Don't let yourselves be overwhelmed and eliminate them one by one, prioritizing green enemies. A single hit will reset your damage multiplier, which is a serious problem in the fight against Sorrow, as the boss bombards you with a hail of bullets. End the fight as quickly as possible - try to build up your damage multiplier and then destroy clusters of tentacles with a multiplied Banishing Move.
The Harrows - Void Breach #2
Related map marker: Void Breach #2 - The Harrows @ New Eden
- Location: Northern part of the region, behind an area shrouded in spectral fog.
- Rule: Increased damage dealt by perfect switch and after parrying, running and dodging.
- Reward: After completing the Breach, you will reach a cave near the beach to the south. In the chest you will find an outfit - Kur Attire.
- Comment: If you don't feel confident with the parry mechanics, it may be a good idea to dodge quickly (preferably as Antea) and perform quick, single blows. Use the option to lock the camera on the opponent, which will help you keep your attention on the enemy while quickly moving around him.
